It goes to prove, whether we drive or take bus, one has to have backup plan just to do everything yourself. The owner of the car forgets his mobile phone to call Emergency yet he disables computer controls while being locked inside his sports car !


Texas man, dog die after being trapped in Corvette

A grandfather of five and his dog died while trying to get out of his 2007 Corvette that was parked outside of his favorite Waffle House. Experts say the car has a manual release inside the car, but the victim didn't know that. VPC


The man has been identified as James Rogers, 72, of Port Arthur.








PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A 72-year-old man and his dog died of heat exhaustion Monday after they were unable to get out of his locked Corvette, according to police.


Police believe that when James Rogers got into the vehicle, a cable became loose and cut off the power to the operate the horn and locks. Rogers did not know how to manually unlock the vehicle and became trapped inside, according to the Port Arthur Police Department.


Police believe heat exhaustion eventually killed the two, as they sat in the parking lot of a Waffle House in Port Arthur.


Mike Flash, the owner of Corvette Specialties, told 12News that the 2007 Corvette has a manual release located on the floorboard by the driver's seat. But Rogers did not know that.


First responders also struggled to find a way to get Rogers out of the car, said M.J. Ponsegrau, who was at the scene.


Ponsegrau said eventually firefighters had to break the window.


"There's is a way to get in, but it's not common knowledge," he said.

ٹیلنٹ کا میعار اگر اچھی انگریزی بولنے سے ہوتا ہے تو پھر انگریزوں کے بچوں کا دنیا میں کوئی ثانی نہیں. انگریزی کو ایک عالمی زبان کی حیثیت سے ضرور سیکھنا چاہیے لیکن ہم نے تو احساس کمتری میں اسے ذہنی غلامی کا طوق بنا کر گلے میں ہی ڈال لیا ہے

Speaking a language is not a 'mayyar for talent' but learning a foreign language without any coaching or immersion gives an indication of the greater lingual ability of the person to say the least ?

Having a multilingual skill is not bad. But putting our own national language on back as a derision is not a ground of self esteem at all. We as a nation are suffering from inferiority complex when it comes to english. Why not any other foreign language is a great talent for us to speak? A desi is considered as an educated person if he speaks english but if he/she speak any other foreign language, he wouldn't be assessed in the same way.
