Nawaz Sharif's brother Abbas Sharif passes away

Abbas Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif’s brother passed away on Friday after being electrocuted, Express News reported.

He was exiting a mosque after offering Friday prayers when the incident took place.

He was shifted to the Sharif Medical City Hospital but could not be resuscitated.

Hospital staff said he suffered a heart attack due to excess voltage.

Abbas Sharif was youngest among the siblings.

Leaders of different political parties phoned Nawaz to express condolences.

He is survived by his son Aziz Abbas and wife Sabiha.
