مری میں برفباری کے شروع ہوتے ہی سیاحوں کا رش بڑھنے کے بعد ہوٹل مالکان کی جانب سے کمروں کے کرایوں کو 50 ہزار روپے تک بڑھانے کا انکشاف ہوا ہے۔

مری میں گزشتہ رات کے برفانی طوفان میں پھنسے سیاحوں میں سے چند ایک نے نجی خبررساں ادارے اے آر وائی نیوز سے گفتگو کی اور زمینی حقائق سے آگاہ کیا، برفانی طوفان کے دوران سیاحوں کی بڑی تعداد نے جیسے ہی ہوٹلوں کو رخ کیا تو ہوٹل مالکان نے آنکھیں ماتھے پر رکھ کر ایک کمرے کا کرایہ 50 ہزار روپے تک بڑھادیا، سیاحوں سے 50،50 ہزار ایک رات کا کرایہ لیا جاتا رہا۔

سیاح کے مطابق اتنے پیسے نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے سیاحو ں کی بڑی تعداد نےرات گاڑی میں گزارنے کا فیصلہ کیا، حویلی لکھا سے تعلق رکھنے والے فرقان اپنی فیملی کے ہمراہ کلڈانہ چوک واپڈا ریسٹ ہاؤس میں موجود ہیں۔

ان کا کہنا ہے کہ انتظامیہ ہمیں ہوٹل چھوڑنے کا حکم دے رہی ہے، ہمارے علاوہ تین فیملیز مزید ہیں ، تمام لوگوں کی مجموعی تعداد 25 بنتی ہے ، ہمیں ریسکیو کیا جائے۔

واضح رہے کہ برفباری کا موسم شروع ہوتے ہی ملک بھر سے سیاحوں کی بڑی تعداد نے مری کا رخ کیا ہوا تھا جس کی وجہ سے مری میں سیاحوں اور مری کی طرف جانے والی سڑکوں پر گاڑیوں کا شدید دباؤ پیدا ہوگیا تھا، گزشتہ رات ایسی ہی صورتحال میں شدید برفانی طوفان آیا جس میں سڑکوں پر موجود گاڑیاں پھنس گئی ، اندر موجود لوگوں نے سردی سے بچنے کیلئے ہیٹرز آن کیے جس کے باعث اب تک 21 افراد کے دم گھٹنے سے اموات کی اطلاعات ہیں۔

واقعہ کے بعد سول و ملٹری ریسکیو ٹیموں نے فوری طور پر برف میں پھنسے لوگوں کو نکالنے کی کارروائیوں کا آغاز کردیا ہے، پنجاب حکومت نے تمام سرکاری ہوٹلز اور ریسٹ ہاؤسز عوام کیلئے کھول دیئے ہیں ، تاہم اب تک بھی سینکڑوں گاڑیاں برف میں پھنسی ہوئی ہیں جنہیں نکالنے کیلئے ریسکیو کا عمل جاری ہے۔

پنجاب حکومت کے مطابق 90 فیصد سڑکوں کو کلیئر کروادیا گیا ہے، گاڑیوں میں موجود تمام سیاحوں کو نکال کر سرکاری ریسٹ ہاؤسز اور محفوظ مقامات پر متتقل کردیا گیا ہے۔

If Pakistani Pay the same kind of Tax like u then they should expect services as well. Keep in mind our CM Punjab Paid Rs2000 Tax and not sure why? CM is very poor and getting income support from government so he shouldn't pay any Tax at all.

In Pakistan we want facilities like of USA but not willing to pay Taxes. Let's assume you need ambulance in your city on emergency do they charge u or not as in my province despite health system is public funded but for ambulance individual have to pay for the service. In our country we have 1122 and how many fake calls are going to them? In USA if I do a fake call I know I have to face consequences but in Pakistan no consequences for any crime u commit.

I agree with the point that we as a Pakistani Muslim Nation we are corrupt, the majority of people don't pay taxes, only those doing private jobs pay tax because it gets detected automatically, I have even seen videos where people have done illegal construction to extend their houses by occupying a portion of rainwater drainage which is like utterly stupid,
But what I don't agree with is the point that we cannot blame the government and the authorities, they are paid to do their work, all the activity should have been stopped to save the lives of people regardless if it was their own mistakes.
Because if I agree with you 100% then we don't need PTI in the government, just handover to PLMN PPP MQM JUIF as before

Even when you travel as an expat and visit Pakistan, if Government charge you taxes then you will be the first one to complaint about it. this is the Dilemma.

مقامی لوگوں نے اس تباہی میں اہم کردار ادا کیا... کتنی شرم کی بات ہے!!
میرے کچھ ذاتی مشاہدات ۔ میں جمعہ کی صبح سے ابھی تک پھنس گیا تھا۔ الحمدللہ میں گھر واپس آگیا ہوں۔ ایک رات مری باریاں روڈ پر اپنی گاڑی میں ہی گزاری، پھر کلڈانہ میں آرمی میس میں شفٹ ہوا۔

ریکارڈ شدہ گاڑیوں کی تعداد 1,34,000 اموات کی تعداد 70 سے تجاوز کر گئی۔

یہ برف باری نہیں بلکہ برفانی طوفان تھا، گلیات نہیں بلکہ مری میں ایک رات میں کم از کم 4 سے 6 فٹ ریکارڈ برف پڑی۔

تباہی کی بڑی وجہ مقامی لوگ تھے ان کا لالچ , بے حسی , غیر انسانیت تھی ۔ میں نے مقامی لوگوں کو گاڑیوں کے ٹائروں کی زنجیریں زیادہ قیمتوں پر فروخت کرتے ہوئے دیکھا، نیز کاروں کو دھکیلنے کے لیے بھاری چارجز ادا کیے گئے لیکن برف باری بہت شدید تھی۔

عام ہوٹل فی کمرہ 30 ہزار سے 50 ہزار تک وصول کر رہے تھے جس کی وجہ سے لوگ گاڑیوں میں رات گزارنے پر مجبور تھے جو کہ اموات کی بڑی وجہ بنی۔

پانی کی بوتل 1 لیٹر 1000 چھوٹی روٹی 800 میں اور اسی طرح دیگر اشیاء۔

اس کے علاوہ مختلف کاروں میں ڈکیتی کی وارداتوں کے نشانات دیکھے گئے ہیں جن میں تمام افراد ہلاک ہو چکے تھے۔

حکومتی محکموں کی جانب سے انتظامی مسائل کے علاوہ، بے حس مقامی لوگوں نے اس تباہی میں اہم کردار ادا کیا... کتنی شرم کی بات ہے!!

Agreed with certain personal observations. I was stuck from Friday morning till just now. Alhamdolillah I am back home. Spent one night in my vehicle on Murree-Barian road, then shifted to Army Mess in Kuldana.
The recorded no of vehicles is 1,34,000 no of deaths exceeded 70.
It was not a snowfall but a snow storm, with at least 4 to 6 feet snow in one night at Murree, not Galiyat.
The major reason of disaster was fucken locals. I witnessed locals selling chains for car tyres at exorbitant prices, plus heavy charges for pushing the cars but snowfall was too severe.
Ordinary Hotels were charging around 30,000 to 50,000 per room due to which people were forced to spend night in cars which became major reason of deaths.
Water bottle 1 ltr for 1,000 small bread for 800 and likewise other items.
Apart from this, signs of robberies in various cars have been seen in which all people had died.
Apart from severe management problems by the Govt depts, the insensitive locals played a major role towards this disaster ... What a Shame !!
