KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Saturday asked the authorities to extend deadline for completing the census because he doubted if the process could be finished within the originally specified time, Geo News reported.

He was talking to media men here at the office of Election Commissioner after election of Dr. Asim Hussain as an unopposed senator through a joint consensus of People’s Party and the coalition.

The Chief Minister said all the coalition partners were united and the unopposed selection of Dr. Asim was the self-speaking proof the same.​

I dont see what the huge deal is about this. MQM have never denied that they dont have weapons though i doubt that it is as high a number as the police are claiming here. But all these weapons are licensed and Pakistani law allows carrying of such weapons.

I think MQM supporters should clarify this, i respect their supporters here in our forum, Ammad, mehwish etc.
But they are not alone in this. We should raise voice for all those entities who are illegal armed..
My intentions were not to blame MQM alone, i have seen ANP & other groups armed to teeth fighting for property, bhatta etc etc.

Every party in Karachi did that in Past.
Jamaat-e-Islami did that in 1988 election.
But, after that GAME WAS OVER. They realised, Karachi was not there territory.
MQM has been doing this, because, on election day, it is very hectic for them. Since they have thousands of votes. So they let people know, there polling both, polling station, voter number. So can, on election day, all emphasis can be given to casting votes, rather than doing clerical job.

Less then 10 million population shown in 1998.

Then it should be on discuss on talk show as frequently as OSAMA captured from Pakistani Soil and MEHRAN BASE Karachi attack.

We also faced the same situation in last election. So that is true and I am a witness to that.
And also who can deny the powers of a sector incharge in an area. If he a friend of you no body can be your enemy.
