Re: Libya: crusader aggression against Muslims, many dead

http://www.unmultimedia.org/tv/webcast/2011/02/abdurrahman-mohamed-shalgham-

But NAKTO forces should not kill people and attack their property.

No one order them to kill the civilians . They r supposed to be helping them only ....

But they r destroying every thing. Qazafi is still there.

And I could guess that he will not be killed , unless untill all Lybia gone flat and demolished...

This was done in Afghanistan and Iraq already....Osamas is still there.

Abdali good points, maybe we Muslims need to wake up when our leaders commit atrocities against the general public, regardless whether they Muslims or not and kick them out. We kept quite when Saddam was gassing the Iraqis; When kept quite when Taliban were flogging and cutting peoples throats; we kept quite when more than a million wre killed in Darfur, sudan; We have kept quite for 40 yrs in case of another Muslim lunatic in Libya. Can you answer these questions honestly? Jordanians, syrians, Saudi's, Kuawaitis; Bahrain; Oman and Yemen read their history to how they have deprived their general public.

Have you thaught why we have rulers like this, why we are what we are?

Illegal war: Crisis in Libya set up to serve West's interests. !

Another illegal war has been launched, an invasion to dismantle yet another country in "western" interests.

Libya is the target this time and reportedly has "military advisers" from U.S., Britain and France on its soil already, with Canada eagerly offering to assist in whatever is required.

Although genuine internal opposition to the regime exists, the Libyan "protesters" we see supported by a western media frenzy mostly are a military force.

They are being trained, equipped and guided by foreign powers intent on getting hold of Libyan oil to have it "privatized" -to become foreign-owned instead, as it was nationalized by Moammar Gadhafi 40 years ago.

The eastern part of Libya, where the oilfields are mostly located, will be yanked out of Libya by separatists working hand-in-hand with foreign powers.

What is brewing in Libya is not a protest or demonstration that has spread across the country, but an attempt to overthrow the government militarily.

We hear about "rebel soldiers" and see images of men shaking their powerful guns, waving flags from the pre-Gadhafi period, which appear out of nowhere, en masse.

Who is behind this force and what is its goal? This question isn't being addressed in any way in the Canadian media or by our political representatives. Any real information and analysis has been replaced by sentimentalizing and misleading about "people power."

It's clear that big powers were in a rush to attack and dismantle Libya, in the same manner that Yugoslavia, Iraq and Afghanistan were attacked and dismembered.

The same method is being used: Demonize to the hilt, turn the Saddams, Milosevics and Gadhafis into absolute monsters by making up horrendous stories about them and their governments that never have to be proven true, and excite and mislead western populations to support military interventions in the name of "Responsibility to Protect."

Surely many Canadians will remember the claim that Iraqi soldiers had taken Kuwaiti babies out of their incubators and left them to die, so they could haul their loot back to Iraq.

Amnesty International completely fell for this hoax, as well.

Yugoslavia was accused of having headline-making "rape camps" and "concentration camps," yet these, too, vanished upon closer examination.

By that time the damage was done, and the country was at the receiving end of "humanitarian bombing" in which Canada, to its eternal shame, participated.

Iraq had no "weapons of mass destruction," as was claimed ad nauseam, yet it was brutally attacked and continues to suffer from violent colonization.

In the case of Libya, neither the heinous story about Gadhafi bombing the protesters nor the one about his "black mercenaries" killing Libyans without compunction have been supported by a shred of evidence. Yet these claims are repeated in a mantralike fashion by politicians and media.

The much-touted "responsibility to protect" norm to which Canada claims authorship oddly enough appears to apply only to certain countries: No such thing to protect Palestinians when Israel launches a massive military attack on Gaza, and not a finger lifted when the U.S. invades and occupies Iraq and Afghanistan, where hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians have died and continue to die.

Now the UN facilitates an attack on yet another country, with a guaranteed loss of thousands upon thousands of Libyan lives and the total destabilization of the Middle East.
If there is popular consent to this atrocity, the media -Canadian and Western -must be held responsible for manufacturing this consent.

Col Gadaffi made a scapegoat and victim of terrorism

Any one will tell you that USA and its Anglo Saxon white allies are destroying Libya infra-structure and its military capability not only to help these so-called rebels to remove Col Gadaffi from office but also replace him with a poodle and a slave who will stoop over his backside to obey them at every command.

The Western gangsters gang together and instigate an insurgency in their targeted country by financially helping local conspirators, traitors and rebels; then arming and training them in subversive operations against their country; then sending CIA, MI5, Mossad and their agents, blackwater death squads to indulge in terrorism and killing innocent citizens of that country; then they blame Al-Qaeda and Islamic terrorists for the acts of violence, suicide bombing and massacres; then they start saying that Al-Qaeda and the terrorist are a threat to their security; then they gang together and go to UN and get Security Council to pass a resolution to allow them to impose ‘ No fly Zone’ in that country but at the same time they go on encouraging and helping insurgency and rebellion and making it necessary the government of the country to send its armed forces to crush the rebellion; then it starts propaganda in their press and television that the innocent people are being killed by the dictatorial regime when their agents have been killing them long before; and finally the western gangsters send their mighty air power to destroy victims country’s air force totally and make it non-existent, and then they go about destroying every building, bridge and high way that was standing on the ground.

Then they install their puppets, poodles and slaves into power and finally order them to give them every building, oil, construction, military, arms, medicine, medical and security etc, etc, contract in the book. It is the West’s philosophy to destroy and destruct everything standing on two walls and then go get every contract claiming to rebuild the country that they deliberately conspired, planned and wanted to destroy and disintegrate at the first place.

It happened in Iraq, Afghanistan and is now happening in Libya. They hated Saddam Hussein, Mula Umar and now hate Col Gadaffi.

Re: Col Gadaffi made a scapegoat and victim of terrorism

Qaddafi ruled Libya for 40 years, is that not enough.
Qaddafi depended upon foreigner to run his oil fields, was it not incumbent on him to educate and train his people and provide them jobs, 40 years is long enough to do it.

I heard his speech in OIC, in which he spoke out against rulers of Saudi Arabia, that was good, but did he act upon other matters noted above to make his country the best there is, he had the resources, the money and the power to do it.

Qaddafi was involved in terrorism, this is not the way to go.No need to kill a police women in England, Islam prohibits killing of Innocent, MY god if I had the money he had, i could have made most sophisticated jets, tanks, Machinery, cars, weapons and if he had no body would dare to attack him.

He should have run Libya Based on Islamic system, the way Hazarat Ummar R.A.T ran it, for 40 years all he did was blame other, when he had the money to make Libya a model in the world.

Than he wants to hand to his son, this is not Islam, this is nepotism, Look at Khulfa-E-Rashadeen and learn from them, they did not groom their children, but let those who were pious, honest and Allah fearing people rule the Islamic society.

These kings and rulers are the reason Islam is misquoted in the world, when they travel they want to pitch tents in a city like new York. Gamble in France, and spend money on useless stuff. have their aeroplanes and cars built with gold and diamond, why. Their reputation in west is very bad due mainly to their silly acts when they are their.

This is not how you impress west, and why would you want to impress the west.

you should devote your life to make you country most educated, most industrialized and most developed infrastructure, and than instead of going to U.S or Canada or england Muslim student should come to Libya for education. what was the reason he did not do it.

Judaic Christian American Crusade Against Islam And Muslims.

Libya is Another Case of Selective Vigilantism by the West Bombing Tripoli while shoring up other despots in the Arab world shows the UN-backed strikes to oust Gaddafi are purely cynical

By Tariq Ali

March 29, 2011 "The Guardian" -- The US-Nato intervention in Libya, with United Nations security council cover, is part of an orchestrated response to show support for the movement against one dictator in particular and by so doing to bring the Arab rebellions to an end by asserting western control, confiscating their impetus and spontaneity and trying to restore the status quo ante.

It is absurd to think that the reasons for bombing Tripoli or for the turkey shoot outside Benghazi are designed to protect civilians. This particular argument is designed to win support from the citizens of Euro-America and part of the Arab world. "Look at us," say Obama/Clinton and the EU satraps, "we're doing good. We're on the side of the people." The sheer cynicism is breathtaking. We're expected to believe that the leaders with bloody hands in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan are defending the people in Libya. The debased British and French media are capable of swallowing anything, but the fact that decent liberals still fall for this rubbish is depressing. Civil society is easily moved by some images and Gaddafi's brutality in sending his air force to bomb his people was the pretext that Washington utilised to bomb another Arab capital. Meanwhile, Obama's allies in the Arab world were hard at work promoting democracy.

The Saudis entered Bahrain where the population is being tyrannised and large-scale arrests are taking place. Not much of this is being reported on al-Jazeera. I wonder why? The station seems to have been curbed somewhat and brought into line with the politics of its funders.

All this with active US support. The despot in Yemen, loathed by a majority of his people continues to kill them every day. Not even an arms embargo, let alone a "no-fly zone" has been imposed on him. Libya is yet another case of selective vigilantism by the US and its attack dogs in the west.

They can rely on the French as well. Sarkozy was desperate to do something. Unable to save his friend Ben Ali in Tunisia, he's decided to help get rid of Gaddafi. The British always oblige and in this case, having shored up the Libyan regime for the last two decades, they're making sure they're on the right side so as not to miss out on the division of the spoils. What might they get?

The divisions on this entire operation within the American politico-military elite have meant there is no clear goal. Obama and his European satraps talk of regime change. The generals resist and say that isn't part of their picture. The US state department is busy preparing a new government composed of English-speaking Libyan collaborators. We will now never know how long Gaddafi's crumbling and weakened army would have held together in the face of strong opposition. The reason he lost support within his armed forces was precisely because he ordered them to shoot their own people. Now he speaks of imperialism's desire to topple him and take the oil and even many who despise him can see that it's true. A new Karzai is on the way.

The frontiers of the squalid protectorate that the west is going to create are being decided in Washington. Even those Libyans who, out of desperation, are backing Nato's bomber jets, might like their Iraqi equivalents regret their choice.

All this might trigger a third phase at some stage: a growing nationalist anger that spills over into Saudi Arabia and here, have no doubt, Washington will do everything necessary to keep the Saudi royal family in power. Lose Saudi Arabia and they will lose the Gulf states. The assault on Libya, greatly helped by Gaddafi's imbecility on every front, was designed to wrest the initiative back from the streets by appearing as the defenders of civil rights. The Bahrainis, Egyptians, Tunisians, Saudi Arabians, Yemenis will not be convinced, and even in Euro-America more are opposed to this latest adventure than support it. The struggles are by no means over.

Obama talks of a merciless Gaddafi, but the west's own mercy never drops like gentle rain from heaven upon the place beneath. It only blesses the power that dispenses, the mightiest of the mightiest.

Muslims still sleeping? Pakistanis time to show some courage,if not slavery of the white jewish masters in washington and uk?Hang the brown GORA AGENTS.

Obama Raises American Hypocrisy To A Higher Level

By Paul Craig Roberts

March 29, 2011 "Salon
" -- What does the world think? Obama has been using air strikes and drones against civilians in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and probably Somalia. In his March 28 speech, Obama justified his air strikes against Libya on the grounds that the embattled ruler, Gadhafi, was using air strikes to put down a rebellion.

Gadhafi has been a black hat for as long as I can remember. If we believe the adage that where there is smoke there is fire, Gadhafi is probably not a nice fellow. However, there is no doubt whatsoever that the current US president and the predecessor Bush/Cheney regime have murdered many times more people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia than Gadhafi has murdered in Libya.

Moreover, Gadhafi is putting down a rebellion against state authority as presently constituted, but Obama and Bush/Cheney initiated wars of aggression based entirely on lies and deception.

Yet Gadhafi is being demonized, and Bush/Cheney/Obama are sitting on their high horse draped in cloaks of morality. Obama described himself as saving Libyans from violence while Obama himself murders Afghans, Pakistanis, and whomever else.

Indeed, the Obama regime has been torturing a US soldier, Bradley Manning, for having a moral conscience. America has degenerated to the point where having a moral conscience is evidence of anti-Americanism and terrorist activity.

The Bush/Cheney/Obama wars of naked aggression have bankrupted America. Joseph Stiglitz, former chairman of the Presidents Council of Economic Advisers, concluded that the money wasted on the Iraq war could have been used to fix Americas Social Security problem for half a century. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/feb/28/iraq.afghanistan Instead, the money was used to boost the obscene profits of the armament industry.

The obscene wars of aggression, the obscene profits of the offshoring corporations, and the obscene bailouts of the rich financial gangsters have left the American public with
annual budget deficits of approximately $1.5 trillion. These deficits are being covered by printing money. Sooner or later, the printing presses will cause the US dollar to collapse and domestic inflation to explode. Social Security benefits will be wiped out by inflation rising more rapidly than the cost-of-living adjustments. If America survives, no one will be left but the mega-rich. Unless there is a violent revolution.

Alternatively, if the Federal Reserve puts the brake on monetary expansion, interest rates will rise, sending the economy into a deeper depression.

Washington, focused on its newest war, is oblivious to Americas peril. As Stiglitz notes, the costs of the Iraq war alone could have kept every foreclosed family in their home, provided health care for every American child, and wiped out the student loans of graduates who cannot find jobs because they have been outsoured to foreigners. However, the great democratic elected government of the worlds only superpower prefers to murder Muslims in order to enhance the profits of the military/security complex. More money is spent violating the constitutional rights of American air travelers than is spent in behalf of the needy.

The moral authority of the West is rapidly collapsing. When Russia, Asia, and South America look at Europe, Australia and Canada, they see American puppet states that contribute troops to the aggressive wars of the Empire. The French president, the British prime minister, the president of Georgia, and the rest are merely functionaries of the American Empire. The puppet rulers routinely sell out the interests and welfare of their peoples in behalf of American hegemony. And they are well rewarded for their service. One year out of office former British prime minister Tony Blair had a net worth of $30 million.

In his war against Libya, Obama has taken America one step further into Caesarism. Obama did Bush one step better and did not even bother to get congressional authorization for his attack on Libya. Obama claimed that his moral authority trumped the US Constitution. The hypocrisy reeks. How the public stands it, I do not know:
To brush aside Americas responsibility as a leader and--more profoundly--our responsibilities to our fellow human beings under such circumstances would have been a betrayal of who we are. Some nations may be able to turn a blind eye to atrocities in other countries. The United States of America is different. And as president, I refused to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action.

This from the Great Moral Leader who every day murders civilians in Afghanistan and Pakistan and Yemen and Somalia and now Libya and who turns a blind eye when the
great democracy in the Middle East, Israel, murders more Palestinians.

The American president, whose drones and air force slaughter civilians every day of the year went on to say Libya stands alone in presenting the world with the prospect of violence on a horrific scale. Obviously, Obama thinks that one million dead Iraqis, four million displaced Iraqis, and an unknown number of murdered Afghans is just a small thing.

The rest of Obamas speech showed a person more capable of DoubleSpeak and DoubleThink than Big Brother and the denizens of George Orwells 1984.

How does a person as totally absurd as Obama expect to be taken seriously?

why not let ghadafi keep an emblematic hereditary role as sheik/president/colonel

Libyan rebels 'receive foreign training'

S and Egyptian special forces have reportedly been providing covert training to rebel fighters in the battle for Libya, Al Jazeera has been told.

An unnamed rebel source related how he had undergone training in military techniques at a "secret facility" in eastern Libya.

He told our correspondent Laurence Lee, reporting from the rebel-stronghold of Benghazi, that he was sent to fire Katyusha rockets but was given a simple, unguided version of the rocket instead.

"He told us that on Thursday night a new shipment of Katyusha rockets had been sent into eastern Libya from Egypt. He didn't say they were sourced from Egypt, but that was their route through," our correspondent said.

"He said these were state-of-the-art, heat-seeking rockets and that they needed to be trained on how to use them, which was one of the things the American and Egyptian special forces were there to do."

The intriguing development raises several questions, about Egypt's private involvement and what the arms embargo exactly means, said our correspondent.

"There is also the question of whether or not the outside world should arm the rebels, when in fact they [rebels] are already being armed covertly."

Our correspondent added that since the rebels appear to be receiving covert support in terms of weaponry and training, it is not surprising that they are not inclined to criticise NATO openly.

Accidental strike

On Saturday the chief spokesman for the Libyan rebels said at least 13 people had been killed after coalition air strikes hit a convoy by mistake on Friday as fighters claimed victory in the battle for Brega.

"Thirteen dead, seven injured by friendly fire. It was a regrettable occurrence," Abdulhafiz Ghoga told a news conference, calling them "unintentional deaths".

Rebels said Friday's NATO raid that killed at least 13 people was "collateral damage" [Reuters]
"The leadership is working on preventing a re-occurrence," he said, adding that Brega "is fully under the control of the rebels".

Brega has been the scene of intense exchanges over the past few days when pro-Gaddafi forces returned after being driven out by rebel forces.

But it has been unclear since Thursday who actually held the town, with anti-Gaddafi forces regrouping in Ajdabiya, about 80km the east.

Earlier, a civilian rebel official said the dead civilians were an ambulance driver and three medical students from Libya's second city of Benghazi.

They had been part of a rebel convoy of five or six vehicles, said Issa Khamis, liaison officer for the rebels' transitional government in the town of Ajdabiya, east of Brega.

Friday's air strike came as rebels shot tracer fire into the air to celebrate the entry of an advance column into Brega.

"It was a mistake" by the rebels, Khamis said. "The aircraft thought they were coming under attack and fired on the convoy."

NATO concerns

A spokeswoman for NATO, which leads the international coalition enforcing the no-fly zone over Libya and protecting civilians from attack, said it was checking details of the incident.

"We are looking into these reports. We are always concerned by reports of civilian casualties. NATO's mission is to protect civilians and civilian areas from the threat of attack," said Oana Lungescu, adding that no formal investigation has been launched.

"We understand that collateral damage may also take place and we do accept it, because we look at the big picture which saving more lives"

Mustafa Gheriani, the opposition Transitional National Council

Speaking to Al Jazeera earlier, Mustafa Gheriani, a Transitional National Council spokesman, said the loss of lives on Friday was very much regretted.

"However, we understand that collateral damage may also take place and we do accept it, because we look at the big picture which saving more lives.

"So a few people being victims of circumstances or of being at the wrong time or the wrong place it is more or less very bad luck," Gheriani said.

The Libyan government, meanwhile, has produced a video said to show civilians, including women and children, in a Brega hospital. They are believed to have been wounded as they tried to escape the air strikes.

Doctors say more than 240 people have been killed and over 1,000 wounded in Misurata in the last month alone, as a counter-offensive by Gaddafi's troops raised the number of casualties.

On Saturday, the first three Swedish fighter jets landed in Italy as the Nordic country joins the NATO-led no-fly zone operation over Libya. Five more will leave for the mission on Sunday, Rickard Wissman, an air force spokesman, said.
