I am just looking at differently. If Sikhs have accepted Quaid's offer, would they not have made a big Punjab state come out of Pakistan with Lahore as capital to reinstate Maharaja Ranjit Singh's empire and a buffer state in western border. So, the Indian Punjab would have remained in India (a la Paschim Banga) and Pakistan Punjab would have become Khalistan similar to East Bengal became Bangladesh.

LAHORE, Pakistan – Over 800 poor Christians in Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore have been forced to live on the roads with no immediate hope of having a shelter of their own after local authorities demolished their homes located in a slum early Saturday morning, with the Christians claiming that they were given just a day’s notice to vacate the land.

Residents of Gaju Matta slum in Ittehad Colony, located along the Rohi Nullah, said they had been living on the land since 1998, when they were forced out of their previous dwelling in the Sabzazar area to make way for a housing society.The Kachhi Abadi (slums) regulations state that no slum can be demolished without providing alternate housing to the dwellers. Any settlement of over 40 houses built before 2006 qualifies as a Kachhi Abadi, and the Gaju Matta slum fulfilled that criterion with over 150 houses.

Its not their choice if they dont want to be with India. They are most welcome to leave India. But not one inch of Kashmir shall be ceded. If Pakistan wants Kashmir, they would have to accept everyone single one of 160 Million Indian Muslims. Our stupid secular govt. has been over generous with kashmir even at the cost of our loyal patritic people of Jammu and Ladakh, 500K pandits had leave the valley and live in tents. Look at the HDI of J&K its better than you entire country. Kashmir insurgency is dying a slow death. Personally speaking i feel India should cede J&K to Pakistan in return of Total Muslim Migration. That`s the only solution for lasting peace in South Asia, coz muslims are incapable of living or let living in peace in any non-muslim country. That is an unfinished agenda from the partition of 1947. People should work towards it.

Lets all assume here that india is the worst country and they commit lot of attrocities on minorities. And they dont let them grow at all.

The main issue is that any group which falls in the category of "minority" wants special privileges. It don't matter that they are as dumb as the next door neighbour from the so called majority. Just by virtue of having a "minority" tag one can question every hardship that ever comes in the way. It doesn't matter that the same hardship is being faced by everybody in the lower income strata of society. Then there is a question of power tussle between two groups. When one group gets aggressive, the other responds. So its a cause and effect relationship. It is going on since the beginning of time. The hunter becomes the hunted. We see a reflection of this all around us. Discrimination begins at home. Male child v/s female child. Black v/s white. If we can be discriminating at such a microsomal level, then at a macro level this can take on very ugly color. Naturally everybody feels discriminated against at some level. Sikhs are no exception to the rule. In a sense it makes us think, that we try to find differences and start discrimination from the very beginning. These views mould us and make us what we are as adults, prejudiced, hateful, unlawful, destroyers. Given a chance i think everybody would cut off each others heads and dance on the bodies. When people resort to killing others for any reason, they lose their reason for being given any privileges. And yet this goes on and on. Pakistan got independence on the basis of its religious majority status. Why are people still dying in India and Pakistan? How different is communal violence from sectarian violence or even domestic violence for that matter. A rogue has no religion and no state.

This is my question to you-Mr. Hasan and Waidicah:

In the census of early seventies in Pakistan Sikhs made up over 100,000 in population now they are less than 20,000. What happened to them?, While in India there numbers increased from ten million to twenty five million.

The Pakistani Sikh, in the video says that " Sikhs were treated bad before 1984 but then they were treated good for a while". I guess Pakistan wanted to use them as terrorists.

Sikhs are forbidden to occupy many posts in Pakistan. I wonder what would have happened to them if they listened to Mr. Jinnah considering his two nation ( Us and them) theory. It is reasonable to assume it would have been worse than their fellow Muslim Bangladeshis.
