Even in the West's mature democracies, the Wife or Husband stands by their spouses during the elections, give interviews, take part in rallies and gatherings. What is wrong with it?

we are not developed nation. these minor mistake will cost imran khan alot , other parties are using this against imran. so he should take these steps very carefully. like appointment of Rahem khan as Ambassador.

IK is very much influenced by the western democracy which is true democracy. It is considered necessary in US elections for spouses of Presidential candidates to take a public role. Laura Bush and Michelle Obama are examples of that. In some cases spouses also join politics on their own merit like Hillary Clinton. But in those countries Parties are very strong institutions with experts in all fiels and are not owned by individuals and their families like in Pakistan where political parties are run as sole proprietorship companies that are inherited from one family member to the next. IK must work to make PTI like and institution that can run on its own and fears about PTI becoming IK or SMQ's family property should be laid to rest.
