[QUOTEof جنوں;2735769]I completely agree with the red part.
As for as JI is concerned, I think that JI has always a difficult relationship with Saudia as with Iran. They don't oppose Saudia openly because Saudi kingdom has a lot of influence in Pakistan and it is a so called religious kingdom. But they can't support Saudia either because Islamists like JI are ideologically inclined to democratic governments and this is the reason why Saudia opposed Ikhwan because their government in Egypt meant their influence on whole of the Arab people. Ikhwan and other Islamists' democratic ideas will weaken Saudi monarchy.[/QUOTE]
Qazi Hussain Ahmed almost supported Saddam when he invaded Kuwait , similarly jamaat did not side with Saddam even after khomeni rejected ceasefire with Saddam after OIC made efforts for ceasefire . Morsi visited Iran rather than saudia , JI itself destroyed relation with saudia ,and this period marks sidelining of jamaat Islami in national life , now it stands hijacked by mediocre pashtoons , no scholarly figure . I asked an elderly gentleman someeighteen years back , how is qazi Hussain a good scholar , he replied ,he is a politician , elderly gentlaman was a associate of maudoodi himself .
