I am not into whether a man or a woman can perform nikah or not. What I mean is that according to Ashraf Thanvi a nikah khwan isn't needed for a valid nikah!

Do you agree with Ashraf Thanvi on this or no ?

Both husband and wife can perform their own nikah in the presence of two Muslim male or one male/two female witnesses. Do you agree ?

It's true that a specialized Nikah Khuwan is not required but witnesses (fulfilling certain requirements) are required. Also, there are some very very very serious guardian issues. With out a guardian a Nikah may not be a valid one. That is, it is not as simple that a romantic couple (boy & girl) do Nikah in the presence of witnesses but with out the knowledge and/or assent of the guardian. Check the referrences.

You mean to say that a Vali is a must ?

But the Deoband scholar Ashraf Thanvi wrote in his book that Vali is not required. He has clearly written in his book that adult couple can pronounce each other husband and wife in the presence of adult Muslim witnesses

I didn't knew you people quote from Musannaf Abd Razzaq too because in that book are quite a few Hadith which you may not like. Same is the case with Hafiz Hajr Asqalani's books!

What do you mean by we wouldn't LIKE hadiths? Is there something about personal likings when it comes to following Sunnah?

Whoever has recorded a hadeeth, and it is saheeh, I personally would strive to follow it. And so should everybody.

Read your poster number 16 which gives the impression that guardian or Vali is must. If a Vali/guardian is not must then Ashraf Thanvi is correct that adult couple can just pronounce each other husband and wife in front of the witnesses. Case solved ?

If you don't agree with Thanvi then begin the charity at home by openly declaring that you disagree with him

If you don't understand what is being conveyed then it's your problem. And as far as Maulana Ashraf Thanvi is concerned, I am no one to disagree with him. He is one of the great scholar in Islam. The problem, however, is that you don't read and therefore you see the things contradictory.

Who gave ghamidi the right to preach, interpret and explain the Quran?

He is a simple BA (English) and worked with some Maulvi's (Who he now despises).
