IMF game over : Pakistan doesn't need assistance anymore Ishq Dar !

Well this will be the last transaction of the agreement for the deal which was been made between GOv and IMF during the start of their gov,for the correction or record its not new loan ,it was been said all loan will be delivered in parts not only in one transaction , so now last transaction is pending for which they will have to make the meeting for it.

I know the Details dear. Fact of the matter is that loans/investments/Grants are always planned for several years. And I know that Pakistan may not need IMF in view of the Chinese investment in the coming years. Its just that this statement should have been given only after the last tranche of the agreed loan from IMF, because who knows if China doesn't deliver their promise and doesn't pay their investment on time and Ishaq dar go begging IMF again? I am sure China will deliver(and So does Ishaq Dar is sure of this), but it is just a thought..

Where do you get your information from? Pakistan stepped out of IMF during Musharraf Era as well. As for Dar, Pakistan is still stuck into IMF and will be discussing to get next loan in coming months.. while I do Believe that with Chinese $46 billion investment Pakistan may not need so much external loan including IMF.. But knowing Dar's dubious past(where he has been alleged of giving wrong figures to get his things done), I believe he will link this development with his performance rather than saying it is because of Chinese investment..

That is probably why he has not given any figures this time..... well, I can believe that Pakistan will not be asking anymore from IMF as they will not be giving us anymore. But the real fact is that Pakistan's total external debt is going to increase as you rightly pointed out the inflow of debts from the north eastern borders of Pakistan. We are only changing the direction of the inflow of money. Real progress would be if we could get rid of the loans. Agreed Afridi Sb !

In 1999, the same Mr. Dar was caught by IMF with his pants down, cooking the books to take a loan. The mistake was pinned on the 'govt', and 'bad accounting' in order to take the heat away from Dar. Besides, Dar was already ousted and giving a signed affidavit of money laundering when the fine was imposed.

Pakistan is not stepping out of IMF. They are being forced out. Reason is that IMF conditions for the next loan are too stringent, and not 'politically viable' for PMLN. Moreover, Pakistan's debt service bill from next year on will be around $20 billion a year, which will be unaffordable, and IMF is not going to give from one hand, and 'hope to' take from the other.

Pakistan has been rated in the top 5% countries most likely to default within the next year by bloomberg.

Ishaq Dar has spent a lifetime making a fool out of Pakistanis, and its a shame that he continues to do so.

NOOOOO... we are not going to default (IN SHA ALLAH)..... haven't heard of Sino-Saviors ? we will rather become a satellite state of none other than........

But seriously speaking, I don't mind if Pakistan becomes something like Honk Kong/Taiwan, as far as there will be someone to monitor the goonish and baboonish corrupts and impotent leadership from the economic angles. I therefore commend the step of Army towards CPEC. China will lend us loans, gain more didactic power over our economic policy decisions, like IMF governs our utility rates and taxes.... and if someone does not comply, then our long lasting friends in need will be asking the Army to exercise control. Yet, to the common man, there will be some good news and relief (In Sha ALLAH)

What did you find wrong in my comment? It was based on the ground reality. Ishaq dar has been caught bluffing in the recent past. If you really want to feel good just like people who are high on cocain and think they are flying with angels, then here is good news , Pakistan will become super power in 3068 AD. Does this news make you feel good? Yes but if you really want to face ground realities then you have party in Government which claimed:

- Ending load shedding in 6 months, 1 year, 2 year and 3 year at most. But yet here I am without electricity for about 10 to 12 hours a day.
- Not Taking loan from IMF but still went for it.
- Run a bullet train, but even the Basic trains are destroyed.
- to get PIA out of Crisis but they themselves contribute to the losses by sending a whole Plane for just the PM welcome who went on personal health to uK.
- To drag zardari, yet everyone know they went UK to beg him to save themselves.
- To bring back merit Yet they are posting relatives on positions.

The list is long, these are only few I can think of the Bluff party and you want me to be high on cocain the same way like you and believe that they are right this time? Even if they are right I have mentioned the reason for it..

Swiss bank told Pak that each country has it's quota and Pak is way over it's quota limitation... so no more money as it require more accounting which means hiring more people which bank will not do at the moment.
