LAHORE: The police investigations into the Lahore incident have been completed and it has now been confirmed that Raymond Davis did not acted in self-defence, Geo News reported.

CCPO Lahore Aslam Tarin told media that Davis shot at the fleeing boy and the motorcyclists did not point guns at him adding that the gun recovered from the deceased was not loaded.

He rejected the self-defence claim made by Davis who shot dead two men last month, saying it was a clear case of murder.

"The police investigation and forensic report show it was not self-defence," he told a news conference.

"His plea has been rejected by police investigators," he said. "He gave no chance to them to survive. That is why we consider it was not self-defence. We have proof it was not self-defence. It was clear murder."

ISLAMABAD: The US embassy in Pakistan, in response to the US media’s take on the Raymond Davis case, said that the media reports were fabricated and that the US and Pakistan maintain a relationship of trust which could not be threatened.

On Friday, the embassy confirmed that Pakistani Ambassador to the US, Husain Haqqani did meet National Security Advisor Tom Donilon to discuss the release of Davis, however, no threats were given to the envoy.

Speaking exclusively to DawnNews, Acting US spokesperson Courtney Beale confirmed that the Pakistani envoy was not being removed from Washington and neither were the strategic dialogue or trilateral talks going to be affected by this case.

“The ABC report is not true. The description of the conversations in the report are simply inaccurate,” Beale said.

Beale also said that there was no change of plan in President Asif Ali Zardari’s trip to the US, and nor was President Obama planning to cancel his trip to Pakistan. The spokesperson said that the US embassy and consulates will continue work as per usual in Pakistan.

Beale said that Davis had acted out in self-defense and because he has diplomatic immunity, Pakistan’s attitude towards the case was not valid. The spokesperson said that the Davis case can be resolved by mutual cooperation between Pakistan and the US.

“The US and Pakistan remain partners and we look forward to resolving the Raymond Davis case in accordance with international and Pakistani law and in the spirit of our countries’ friendship.”

According to the reporte published in ABC News, National Security Advisor Tom Donilon told Ambassador Husain Haqqani that the U.S. will [HI]kick him out [/HI]of the U.S., [HI]close U.S. consulates[/HI] in Pakistan, and cancel an [HI]upcoming visit[/HI] by Pakistani President to Washington, if Davis is not released from custody by Friday.

Kick this busterd out,close consulates ,Karachi, lahore ,quetta and peshawar,i think than there is nomore Khudkushh hamlay anymore in these teritories.
Lastly about zardari,Who care about zard ari,he is a sick person and a burden on the country.

I always mantained what davis is doing here is a secondary question; that army, isi and govt will answer whether he is here with thier permission or not. We cannot do any thing about it. and they are numb in answering it. If he is here with armys permission then its fine; army knows better than govt or us.

And catch the driver ; i am also on teh same page. He must be caught as he is the main criminal. And stop Musharraf phobia. 3 years into the current govt and they have issued visas to davis. So stop being a jazbati patora

few days ago an american ambassador reymond davis was caught when he killed three pakistani youths in busy lahore street...somehow this matter got out of hand and now pakistani munafiqeens government is afraid to release this american as it fears public backlash...
few days ago matters got worse when a widow of one of the slain youths committed suicide after pakistani agencie,s men pressured her family to take back the case against this american killer and get monetary compensation instead..when the family refused this offer they were threatened and in great tension the widow of slain youth committed suicide..so public got even more angry after that .

than munafiqeen,s army and agencies and rulers devised a plan like they have done in past...to divert this public hatred against reymond davis against islamic mujahideen somehow ,and give america and munafiqeen some respite and relief.

so i was shocked today after reading and listening in news that pakistani government and agencies now claim that reymond has links with taliban!!!!this is such a big lie that sky will fall (may allah make it fall on munafiqeen amen).

Just one thing I may correct (according to what I believe), when it is said terrorists are agents of india and americans it is "in fact" "not necessarily" taliban. In Pakistan unfortunately anyone who has beard and prays is labelled as taliban. when ever any kind of explosion happens even if it is domestic gas cylinder, the breaking news would be "khudkush hamla" and second "taliban claimed the responsibility" ... this all is propaganda and lies . What is truth that true Mujahideen never hurt any innocent. They risk their lives not for worldly gains but for Allah. If he has got immunity then court can not do anything.
If he has no immunity then court will take action.
But my question is because he was spying, had some important documents and he was in a very important area so does our army not want to investigate him or not ?
