If there is one play on air these days, which has become a hot favourite amongst the viewers for its strong story line and excellent acting by cast members, it's Hum TV'sUdaari. On air since April, the play has received massive appreciation for tackling the sensitive issue of child sexual abuse in the country and the way it is shunned in our society. However, all of that was possible only due to the devious portrayal of Imtiaz, by none other than Ahsan khan, which left people loving to hate the character. Now, the same appreciation seems to be hitting a high note across the border as Aditya Pancholi reached out to the actor!

Sending Khan a message, the veteran Bollywood bad boy was all praises for the actor for the way he has essayed the role of Imtiaz. Appreciating the play, Pancholi callied it 'fantastic', and his acting as 'outstanding' for going with a dark character instead of playing it safe with his smouldering looks. After all, which recent actor do you know who would risk to change his chocolate-hero look for a villain?

Written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin, Udaari features an ensemble cast of Bushra Ansari, Samiya Mumtaz,Urwa Hocane, Farhan Saeed and Ahsan Khan and focuses on the social and economic marginalisation of citizens in the society. With continuing themes of of child sexual abuse, uptake of music as a career, false police involvements and negative political supports, the show remains a fresh of breath air in a mix of redundant plot-lines.

While we are thoroughly excited for the praise our Pakistani celebs seem to be getting across the border, we cannot help but want even more plays of the same style that could make a difference. Until then, more power to Khan!
