That is why Black man was reelected. It is funny media is showing that these States want to go their separate way. Federation is base on solid grounds and there are few disgrunted ones who ask for such action. Not going to happen

اس کا ٹوٹنا تو بہت ہی آسان ہے ، جس دن ٹوٹا ، کسی کو آواز بھی نہی آنی

لیکن ٹوٹ کر وہاں کافر ریاستیں ہی بنیں گی

Oh come, they are not *actually* requesting to secede, in fact they are actually going to add a *new* state (Puerto Rico just approved a referendum for statehood)

This happens all the time; Mostly it's the money rich states like Texas and California, grumbling about taxes and sharing their wealth with other, less rich states.

In every place there are some wackos, and in America, even wackos are allowed to file petitions. But that does not mean they will be take seriously.

It's like the mayor of Karachi going to court and asking to secede and make Jinnahpur (which *apparently* MQM was going to do, only not through court...but that's another story for another time); the court will look at the petition, throw it back at his face, and ask him to get out and stop wasting the court's time.

The news media is not reporting this because it's a stupid and pointless news; that's why only crap news sites and blogs (yellow journalism) are posting about it.

So stop getting your hopes up, and start fixing your own mess, lest we face our *own* breakup.

In each state still have a month to gather 25,000 signatures to have their peaceful withdrawal from the U.S.A, which is not possible. It seems all symbolic to show resentment from Obama.

What the heck's going on? It seems the United States will soon become the Disunited States of America! 18 states have petitioned for secession from the union to create their own new government!!

Reports say that as of Sunday, November 11, 2012, 18 states have petitioned the Obama administration for secession from the union to "create [their] own new government." The petitions come within days of the presidential election.

The first petition came from Louisiana. The Examiner reports that on November 7, "Michael E" from Slidell, Louisiana, filed the petition at the White House "We the People" site, requesting that Louisiana be allowed to secede.

The petition, citing the Declaration of Independence, said it is the right of the people to form a new government when the one in power is not the "consent of the governed."

Each petition on the White House site has 30 days to reach a threshold of 25,000 signatures in order for the Obama administration to consider the request.

The states that have signed the petitions for independence are:

1. Louisiana,
2. Texas,
3. Florida,
4. Alabama,
5. North Carolina,
6. Kentucky,
7. Mississippi,
8. Indiana,
9. North Dakota,
10. Montana,
11. Colorado,
12. Oregon,
13. New Jersey,
14. New York,
15. South Carolina,
16. Arkansas,
17. Georgia,
18. Missouri.

However, according to Red Alert Politics: "these petitions serve more to make a point than to present a serious proposition. They are a physical symbol of the deep resentment for the direction in which the United States is moving under the Obama administration."

these states want to seperate because a black person has won the election. Every state have their own rules and regulations i think it does not effect in recent future.Russia was broken but their defense is still same and economically they are very strong now.
anyhow if we want to progress than we have to come forward in science and research. american collapse or not it does not help us.

Secession petitions filed in 20 states for seperation from the United States

Secession petitions filed in 20 states for seperation from the United States

In the wake of last week's presidential election, thousands of Americans have signed petitionsseeking permission for their states to peacefully secede from the United States. The petitions were filed on We the People, a government website.

States with citizens filing include Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. Oddly, folks from Georgia have filed twice. Even stranger, several of the petitions come from states that went for President Barack Obama.

The petitions are short and to the point. For example, a petition from the Volunteer State reads: "Peacefully grant the State of Tennessee to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government." Of all the petitions, Texas has the most signatures so far, with more than 23,000.

Of course, this is mostly a symbolic gesture. The odds of the American government granting any state permission to go its own way are on par with winning the lottery while getting hit by a meteor while seeing Bigfoot while finding gluten-free pizza that tastes like the real thing.

An article from WKRC
quotes a University of Louisville political science professor who explained that these petitions aren't uncommon. Similar petitions were filed following the 2004 and 2008 elections. Still, should the petitions garner 25,000 signatures in a month, they will require an official response from the Obama administration.
From the We the People site:

The right to petition your government is guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. We the People provides a new way to petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. We created We the People because we want to hear from you. If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it's sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.

Not everybody who wants to secede is polite enough to write a petition. Peter Morrison, treasurer of the Hardin County (Texas) Republican Party, wrote a post-election newsletter in which he urges the Lone Star State to leave the Union.

"We must contest every single inch of ground and delay the baby-murdering, tax-raising socialists at every opportunity. But in due time, the maggots will have eaten every morsel of flesh off of the rotting corpse of the Republic, and therein lies our opportunity... Why should Vermont and Texas live under the same government? Let each go her own way in peace, sign a free trade agreement among the states and we can avoid this gut-wrenching spectacle every four years."

Don't be very happy----These lines says it all

Texas has the most signatures so far, with more than 23,000. ( texas population 25,674,681 - 2011)

Of course, this is mostly a symbolic gesture.
