What Bullshit is this, a young girl has decided who she wanted to marry and now on the name of religion, sects and what not, everyone is trying to bully. If this is not good then it is the fault of our society and parents, who do not allow the children to freely mix and marry with whoever they want. The parents of the girl are doing haraampunna of next level only to get her back for their liking and benefits. The state should make sure that this girl and boy live happily and the way they want with complete sense of security and safety.

fist of all we do not know the reality that if she is bound to give such statements. second of all, even if she has done Nikah with zaheer, her nikah is invalid, and the couple is committing zina, because no nikah can be valid without consent of parents in Islam (all sects follow it). so, her parents has right to fight for their child. if you or me is not interested then simply ignore posts related to this issue and let them fight for their child on every possible forum.

this concept does not march with the spirit of Islam, can you please quote an authentic Hadees or verse which states this? Islam can never put such a restriction on two persons who want to have a Nikah.
