We should not consider any language with an emotional background. All languages are invented and evolve according to the need of the times. Whether English or Urdu, either are imports. We must look at the practicality of a language not the name. I personally recommend changing the name of English to 'Globish' as it is the global language now and not a property of any country. With mastery of Urdu where do we go in the world? With English at least we can communicate with 3/4th of the world. I would further recommend to adopt Arabic as our national language instead of Urdu as it has practical benefits to muslims while keeping English as the official working language. It is an irony that we tend to become emotional over superficial matters but are thick skinned over solid matters like honesty, truthfulness and strength of character.

ابتدائی ذریعہ تعلیم "مادری زبان" ہونی چاہیے۔
مادری زبان سے میری مراد اردو نہیں ہے، بلکہ پنجابی، سندھی، پشتو ہے۔
یہ بچے کی نشو و نما کے لیے بہت ضروری ہے۔
یہ بھی حقیقت ہے کہ زبانیں وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ تغیر کا شکار ہوتی ہیں اور ہمیشہ سے اپنے سے زیادہ "ترقی یافتہ" زبان اور کلچر سے متاثر ہو کر تبدیلی کا سفر جاری رکھتی ہیں۔
مثلا پاکستان میں اردو زیادہ ترقی یافتہ زبان ہے۔ سالانہ لاکھوں کی تعداد میں اردو کتابیں مارکیٹ میں آتی ہیں، سینکڑوں کی تعداد میں ڈرامے اور فلمیں اور اردو گانے مارکیٹ میں آتے ہیں۔ چنانچہ وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ اردو یقینی طور پر پنجابی اور دیگر زبانوں پر اثر پیدا کرتی رہے گی۔
اور چونکہ انگلش زبان اردو سے بھی زیادہ ترقی یافتہ ہے، اور کمپیوٹر پر اردو زبان کم ہے، چنانچہ ہم چاہیں یا نہ چاہیں، مگر ہماری نئی نسلیں اردو کو چھوڑ کر آہستہ آہستہ انگلشن کی طرف راغب ہوتی جائیں گی۔

Absolute irrelevant logics given in support of your argument. Even China, Russia Japan progressed with education in their own language just like Germany,
Finland, Norway, Denmark , French, Brazil, South Africa, Netherlands ..... this list can go on forverer. Language is a mode of communication,
not of progression. Definetly nations realise the importance of english as global language but they have not backed out of their education in their native languages.
Nations developed their own languages and progressed and we need to do the same. Kindly bring before us a single example of english being the medium of progression in any country.

دنیا میں وہی قومیں ترقی کرتی ہیں جو ابتدائی تعلیم اپنی مادری زبان میں کرتی ہیں۔
پاکستان میں میڑک کے بعد تعلیم چھوڑنے کی بڑی وجہ انگریزی زبان ہے۔
وہ لوگ اردو کی وجہ سے پریشان ہیں جو اردو نہیں جانتے اور پاکستانی عوام پر راج کرتے ہیں۔
اردو میں تمام سرکاری کام ہونے چائیں۔
سرکاری کام کرنے کے لیئے سائینس کی ضرروت نہیں۔
