The simple phone teaching Afghans to read
About 75% of people in Afghanistan are illiterate.
To help improve literacy, the country's ministry of education has distributed 5,000 laptops to schools in Kabul and other areas for the One Laptop Per Child project, but with so many people to teach other options will also be required.
BBC Click's Spencer Kelly reports on a how a simple "candy bar" style phone "Ustad Mobile", owned by many Afghans, could help teach people to read and write.
