Saira Tarrar has no right to reduce punjab representation in PMDC as health minister.

Saira Tarrar , perhaps the most incompetent minister after electricity minister has it seems decided to destroy PMDC even further , she firstly let a discrdited registrar PMDC stay and now she has said indirectly that in the new council , Punjab representation shall be cut , she said that equal representation would be adhered to amongst provinces ,

this is wrong from two points , Punjab is 60 % of Pakistan its representation should be 60% if usual logic follows , the number of doctors from punjab is not 60% of doctors as Sindh since Bhutto times has kept its seats in medical college inflated beyond national quota and standards somewhat low outside Karachi . So it can also be propertional to number of doctors wise , but four provinces equal is ununderstandible

saira has appointed a controversial retired general as PMDC head type of thing , she is trying to stay clear of judiciary and yet hit . she will lose her ministry in serious conflict with doctors if she does not handle things properly . even if Asim was a robber not doctor this will not help her unless PMDC amendments are correct .

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – State Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar on Monday has alleged Sindh Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) chairman Dr Asim of backing fake medical colleges and provision of bogus degrees.

She expressed these views in a press conference in the federal capital.Tarar vowed for extended cooperation with law enforcers who are investigating Asim for alleged fraud. The alleged culprit has also been removed from presidency of Nursing Council, she added. She said that cases would be forwarded to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding alleged embezzlement in Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PMDC) management. Tarar said that Dr Shaista is not legal registrar but Dr Nadeem Akbar is.

The state minister vowed to get PMDC Ordinance approved by the Parliament. It is a mere coincidence that the Ordinance came to light when Dr Asim was arrested, she added.Tarar said that PMDC members’ number would be cut to 35 from 81. The total of 35 members would have at least 20 elected while 15 honorary representatives. She further said that all provinces would be given representation in PMDC on equality basis.

Tarar resolved to hold elections of PMDC within 120 days.
