Pakistan's Generational Gap

There is a huge generational gap between the pre and the post millennial Pakistani generations. The pre-millennial generation of Pakistan is still stuck in the quagmire of old traditions, while the millennial generation have grown in a different world altogether.

The first world countries have already or are in the process of passing the torch of decisions-making to the younger lot, while countries like Pakistan are still physically, mentally and psychologically ruled by the older lot in every aspect of life. It has made us face with many consequences, including lagging behind from the modern world.

The political, judicial, bureaucratic, and social fractions of Pakistan are either still heavily ruled by the older generation or are under their influence through their recruited off springs. It hasn't worked out well for the country in the past and wouldn't be any different in the future. Currently, 64 percent of the nation is younger than 30 and 29 percent of Pakistanis are between 15 and 29. It makes us one of the largest youngest population in the world with more than 150 million people.

What is the way out of this quagmire? Being involved in Pakistani politics; I can certainly say that the older lot is not going to loosen its grip and the younger lot has different priorities. It has become essential for the young leaders who understands the needs of the modern world to stand firm and make a way in for themselves.

More and more young leaders need to step up and become allies. It is a collective struggle and can't be only done by the few. You just can't only criticize the established system and don't put an effort to get it replaced. It needs a selfless struggle and continuous dedication.

We are grateful to the older generation for their contributions but they need to understand that it is natural to pass on the reins of power to next in the line. You can resist but can't change ways of the nature.

what is the age of boris johnson (PM UK)??/...Indian PM???
We are rightly ruled by old and matured persons...imagine if (Allah forbid, Summa Allah forbid), we get ruled by so called young ones e.g Bilawal Btutto!!!; Malala!!!; or any other joker....
Secondly, value are values, what it has to do with old and young...e.g truth, honesty, bravery, wisdom, patience, trustworthiness, modesty, worship, basic faiths, vision etc what it has has to do with age...

Yes you are right, these buddah babas are littered all over the place and stuck in their old grumpy old men ways. Hopefully slowly they will retire and die off and get replaced by fresh and young blood.
