Long before PTI attacked and harrassed Reham Khan, Ayesha Gulalai, Hajra Khan, Inbasat Yusuf, Sana Mirza, Kashmala Tariq, Hina Butt, Maryam Aurangzeb, Kulsoom Nawaz, Maryam Nawaz & her daughter, or Gharida Faruqi and Asma Sherazi, there was one woman who had nothing to do with politics but was married to a politician. Her name was Faiza Altaf and she was wife of Altaf Husaain. This was time when Imran Khan was cozy with Nawaz Sharif meeting him regularly in his London apartment and was hoping to get a political break by targeting Karachi's educated liberal class.
The strategy was to malign Altaf Hussain as simple as that by attacking his marital life issues on internet. The years were 2004-2007. Family pics of Altaf, his wife and his minor daughter were used. PTI social media team did quite a phenomenal job by inventing Pakistani Social Media Trolling and many think this was one of the reason behind Altaf Hussain's divorce as Altaf Bhai was getting irritated by seeing his marital life (and its issues) used as harrassment tool by PTI in open domain where he had no control. Later, MQM tried to get Imran Khan disqualify using concrete solid evidence from Sita White under 62/63 but establishment saved Imran and the case was thrown out. Several years later Jemima became official guardian of Imran & Sita's daughter.
