It is illogical to imagine that Altaf Hussain is even remotely involved in Dr. Imran Farooq's murder. They were closer than brothers.

Even if you put all emotion aside, the question is why? Dr. Imran Farooq had almost retired from politics, he was only concentrating on his business ans his family so there is no motive for murder. And MQM has been helping Scotland Yard every step of the way with their investigation, both London Police and Yard have commended MQM several times on their support, if they were involved they wouldn't be providing so much support.

Inshallah the real culprtis, whoever they are will be caught soon.

What if Altaf got convicted for the murder of Imran Farooq. Would you still support him?
I am not saying that Altaf did that crime. Just answer it. Would you or you won't.
I am sure, still you won't answer my question.

I think I have a counter argument to your notion that its illogical to even remotely involve AH in Dr. Farooq's murder. I am not implying that AH is responsible but I think that its a possibility. You said that ALtaf Hussain and Dr. Farooq were very close - well, Aamir Khan was very close then they both were thirsty for each others blood - afaq was close to AH and now we know how they feel about each other......Azeem ahmed tariq was very close to AH then we know that they werent.......saleem shahzad and anwar in london being very very close to AH have an on again off again relationship with him. To say that AH is close to someone is meaningless - I personally think that if you do a psychoanalysis of AH there will be shocking revelations....i know that to his supporters he is an angel, a messiah, a revolutionary leader - but to others like me, I consider myself an admirer of the idea of MQM but can't stand AH's antics and deem him utterly unfit to even run a mohalla committee, he is mere mortal who has a LOT OF shortcomings - one of the dangerous one is his penchant for vendetta, petty and primitive politics.

The other thing is that its very hard to buy that a person like Imran Farooq's stature decided to retire from politics.....there are people who are grandparents but they dont stay away from politics of MQM as he did just because he became a parent. There is more to it than what meets the eye. In pakistani politics the real truth never comes out and everyone put their own spin on things. Other premise that he was killed due to some business dispute is very flimsy and hard to believe. Not sure which grocery store has such disputes that they went after someone with the stature of Dr. Farooq unless the grocery store was run by the mafia. Not sure if the normal grocery owner can come up with schemes of murder with hired guns flown in from karachi.

Not sure who killed him but there certainly is more to it than what meets the eye.....

I am sure we will NEVER find out for real.....
