Karachi (Wednesday, 24 August 2016) – Today elections for the heads of local body institution in Sindh are being held. Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman and Deputy Chairman will be elected using votes of Counselors and members.
Latest Results has been announced in District West Karachi. In this district 5 party alliance has been defeated by MQM candidates. Five Jamati Ittehas consist of PPP, PMLN, JI and ANP and others candidate Asif Khan has secured only 31 Votes for Chairman Post. While his opponent Motahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s candidate for Chairman Izhar Ahmad (London Palat)has got 36 Votes. in Deputy Chairman Seat Vice Chairman of PTI’s Aziz Ullah Afridi has been elected on securing 44 votes. This is big Setback for the opponent political parties of MQM.
