How can we make this forum better? Your suggestions & input?

3. Announce monetary rewards based on number of views of a thread and number of likes (minus dislikes) one post gets etc. This way members will try to post better threads and reply.

4. Enable some additional feature based on like dislikes, membership levels (e-g signature on and off, special smileys, stickers etc)

5. Find ways to ban dual IDs (mobile phone sms based activation of accounts just like nowadays most smartphone messaging apps do).

For Point No. 3 and 4 above.... all Pro PTI posts will end up in being get liked and anti PTI post will result in dislikes... this is how likes and dislikes work over here... this is a very very very immature suggestion. Being a PTI supporter myself, I don't want people to like or dislike my post based on my views reggarding a certain political party... as we all know how much pro PTI members we have over here and no where on any forum, the membership status is updated based on number of likes and dislikes... instead it is jus based on number of posts by a certain member..

For point no. 5... mobile phone based activation will only result in less activity... considering how much spam we have these days over sms.

Perhaps a link on the front page to Google Urdu transliteration or any other Urdu input tool/virtual keyboard would be nice. This can help reduce the number of posts written in roman which are really a pain to read.

The forum is too big with many sub forums which leaves one hopping here and there. I would advise reducing sub forums.
Ban on profanity is okay but everyone should have the freedom to express.

ہاں تھریڈ کے موضوع پر بات هو یہ بات یقینی بنائیں چاہے مسلہ حلالہ هو، طلاق هو، متعہ هو، مسیار هو، طالبان هو، لشکر جھنگوی هو، سپاہ محمد هو یا کوئی اور

جب ایران، شام سعودیہ وغیرہ پر بات ہوگئی تو شیعہ سنی تفریق بھی زیر بحث آئیگی
اب بندہ ڈرے کے میں نے شیعہ سنی ذکر چھیڑ دیا تو یا تو پوسٹ ڈیلیٹ ہوگئی یا بین لگےگا
تو اس طرح کی قدغن سے نا صرف الجھن اور کوفت ہوتی ہے بلکہ مسائل مزید الجھتے ہیں

آپ کی کوشش هو که بدزبانی نا هو، گالم گلوچ نا هو، گستاخی نا هو، گفتگو تھریڈ کے موضوع پر هو، ذاتیات پر حملہ نا هو
اگر آپ نے ان باتوں پر کنٹرول کرلیا تو آپ دیکھیں گے نا فرقہ واریت ہوگی نا بے ہودگی

امید ہے میری بات واضح ہوگئی ہوگی​

I gave a suggestion once (months ago). Also gave a reminder but no one bothered. I would have added many more posts if you would have added direct urdu writing support in the quick reply section.

Moderation suggestions:

1) Absolutely ZERO tolerance for sectarianism. Your callous attitude has already driven away some of the most wonderful members of the forum. Whoever posts sectarian material, taunts someone for his sect must be banned forthwith. Many vultures roam freely on the forum ready to pounce on anything to satisfy their hidden agendas.

2) Absolutely ZERO tolerance for anything hurtful towards any religion. If a member of any religion posts something derogatory, kick him out. Do not encourage tit for tat responses.

3) Absolutely ZERO tolerance for the copy-paste brigade. They simply destroy every thread they tread on. Kachra posts from FB pages may be fine once in a while, since they provide comic relief at times. But nobody should be allowed to spam a thread with them. May be we PTI supporters do it as well, but we are no match for Maryam Safdar and Dr. Qadri brigade.

Site Suggestions:

Take the next step. This website has been an internet chat forum for far too long. Run it like a pure business entity while keeping the originality (think Whatsapp). Successful businesses always keep evolving. Arrange more interviews, some field reporting (why not provide the world with an account of what happened in Thar), be a little bold conduct sting operations (think Tehelka.com), launch an internet magazine, make small videos of weekly political roundup etc. There are many things. It just requires hard work.

Sadly, the forum used to be better when I joined it two years ago.

Q1. Why the 'report abuse' system is sooooo insecure? Let me explain it to you. I spotted some vulgar, far too way out of order posts, I clicked triangle button to report the post. Straight away that member got the notification that I quoted him in------post. Now I wonder where is the anonymity and confidentiality? What's the point of this? Don't you think this 'report a post' should remain confidential between admin and reporting member. In this situation you are making that member more vulnerable on the forum. I understand now that why there are so many fights and blames on this forum. When one member come to other member's throat and blames 'that you reported me to admin'. Do you have any plan to make this system more anonymous and confidential?

Q 2: When I find filthy posts on the threads I inform the mods but nothing happens in that case what is the next point of call? There is one member whom I noted that he/she/it always remain full of dirt, where ever I see him/her/it, I just leave the thread as I know the standard of the posts. How would you address this issue to improve the situation?
I understand that my fellow member and myself are expecting a lot from you but I am sure you can handle everything because you have put your heart and soul on this forum to serve our country and to keep us united on this platform.

1. Annie, I'm not aware of the issue you mentioned above. I'll test this out myself right now and see what is up.

2. The issue is that none of our mods are full time, therefore the delay in response. We need a full time moderator just to look into what is being posted on the forum. We'll be working on this starting next month.

U are already interviewing some imp people get some volunteers and let them report on that thread from minor issues to other issues in thier area. We already have member from different countries...

Zero tolerance on abusive language . This is the most important thing for me . Secondly when admins merge our threads or delete them , they shud inform us . It happened to me few times . I informed u and Waseem but I still dnt know why . Point is , we shud follow the rules strictly and admins shud also be accountable . I spent at least good 4,6 hours everyday on this website . It's like my second house . We want it to be the best .

New members shud also b appreciated as well.

Every party can post other party's corruption or incompetence but dont let them post posts which aretargeting people's personal lives.
Ban them immediately and ban.people who post false posts to mislead people because we all have the duty to tell the truth and no liar or abusers or manipulators of truth shall be allowed..will be difficult but is essential

Ya, Annie is right about it. I had also reported one of the guy and after sometime, he asked me that why had I complaint about him? I think someone in the moderator might tell them. God knows the best.
