Qatari and Chinese companies will jointly install four coal-based power plants at Gaddani (Balochistan) and Port Qasim, generating a total of 2,600 megawatts cheap electricity in Pakistan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif welcomed the investment in energy sector during a meeting with the Qatari and Chinese delegations. The PM said that two projects, each one of 660 MW, would be set up at Gaddani and two at Port Qasim. Welcoming the Qatari and Chinese delegations, the Prime Minister expressed his pleasure over foreign investment in power projects in Pakistan, which is facing acute energy crisis and the completion of these projects, he said, would go a long way to overcome the problem.PM assured the delegations that the government would provide full assistance in commissioning of the projects

Pakistan ka problem new power generation nahi hai, we have already enough installed power capacity in our system which is 8000 to 10000 more than our demand. Problem is mismanagement, power stealing, Kunda culture, using expensive power mix, corruption, line loses, poor infrastructure and power transmission system. Our government should look in these areas to develop our power sector.

Jaha tak mujhe pata hai, Bahar ja kar bheek mangnay walay toh yahi g.a.n.j.a.y hai... Agar insay achay ki umeed hoti toh kia hi acha hota. Magar yeh log toh ameero per jinki tadaad 30 lak hai aur jin say 300 arab tak ka tax aketta kiya ja sakta hai, unkay bajae ghareebo per hi tax lagatay hai, kyu k woh ameer log inko chorengay nai agar inho ne un per tax lagaya.
