That probably is the narrowest definition of secularism. It includes respect for all religion and avoid use of excessive force.
Do you think this kind of force would have been used in a Mandar, surely not.

There is not much difference in approach between Bhindranwala and Sri Lankan uprising,
You killed Bindranwala but mourned killing of a Hindu separatist in Sri Lanka,
Your Secularism applies to minorities but not Hindus, I am sure you will agree with that..

In a relationship between state and citizen thats all it is. Its up to people specially people of conscious to respect everyone's religion and views.

How conveniently you are dissolving the State from its duties. Of course citizens are expected to behave and respect all other religions but does not excuse the Govt from behaving with utmost restraint specially where a minority is at the receiving end. Why Emergency was declared when they could have just sat outside and waited for the extremists to come out rather than storming the temple. Can you imagine this Ayodya if Savek Sangh takes over. We cannot be compared to great " Sikandar" in our history we have never invaded any country except Bangladesh in order to stop the massacre and also to break Pakistan it was an opportunity handed to India by Pakistan their hatred for Bengalis were so strong that after they won the election west Pakistan did not believe that Bengali were capable of running the country.

One day go to Bangladesh ask people your self Bengali Muslims and try to tell them that It was India who massacred Bengalis. I have spoken to them my self in India and UK.

Please don't tell me that India was responsible for:

The visit of Mr. Jinnah to Bangladesh who tried to impose Urdu on them. I personal like Urdu.

The riots over language issue in early 50s.

ohoo another neighbour, I think you forgot how much your country owe in terms of debt. Your country's height is the result of standing on the shoulders of countries like USA, Russia and your favourite Israel.
