Pakistani Interior Minister, Rahman Malik was fined by New York Police for breaking traffic rules on his official visit to USA. This happened when his consulate driver turned the car on medicine avenue, where after 6:00pm, no one is allowed to take u-turns.

The police stopped him and gave the consulate car a ticket, even though the driver introduced him as Interior minister of Pakistan.

The New York Police officer said that law is equal for everyone in US.

This is what we need in Pakistan..... Why did he introduce himself as Minister of Pakistan (Pakistani way) he should accept the law as he said he wants in Islamabad.... and went out in normal car and suspended many police men while driving on high risk area of Islamabad by saying that no one did check him... I think its lesson for him to learn LAW.

This is the difference, Pakistani "Minister" got ticket from an ordinary police constable.. and Pakistani police was beaten when they stopped american people...
actually we have lost our self-respect. shame on us

I don't think he should be ticketed, he has diplomatic immunity. This is absurd.
