Zakat the 3rd Pillar of Islam which is often over look by Muslim
giving 2.5% in way of ALLAH is sometimes very difficult for some ppl we must remember it is the 3rd Pillar of Islam is not some small thing.
2:43 And be steadfast in prayer; give Zakat; and bow down your heads with those who bow down (in worship).
I believe if all Muslims pay Zakat properly then so many problems can be solved
like just from Pakistan with ppl having so much money Billions of Rupees can be collected and I believe because of that no one will be below poverty line if we start paying Zakat properly
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "The person who has been given wealth by Allah Ta'ala and despite this does not give zakaat for it, then on the day of judgement this wealth of his will be turned into a huge poisonous snake which will encircle his neck. It will then tear the sides of his mouth apart and tell him: 'I am your wealth and I am your treasures.'"
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: A woman came to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) and she was accompanied by her daughter who wore two heavy gold bangles in her hands. He said to her: Do you pay zakat on them? She said: No. He then said: Are you pleased that Allah may put two bangles of fire on your hands? Thereupon she took them off and placed them before the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) saying: They are for Allah and His Apostle.
