I live in Australia though being from Lahore. If I was in Lahore I would have surely gone to see the biggest jalsa of Asia. Now I have watched a few programs and gotten different views on the attendance number

MQM - lakhoon ka thatten marta sumandar

Haroon Rasheed (Off the record 11 April)- mostly 7-8000 people

Rana Sana Ullah (News Beat 11 April) - mostly 6-7000 people

Farooq Sattar (News Beat 11 April) - lakhoon log


How can the difference be so great? There is a huge difference between a few thousands and hundred of thousands. What do you guys think on the number?. Please substantiate with any links.

One thing is for sure if it was huge jalsa with laakhon log then they would have definitely posted pics of that. As in the case of their rally for Dr. Aafia Siddique they took pictures from many thousand angles and posted through out the world.

The world is moving ahead and we still have leaders trying to prove how many people attend their jalsa...Not just MQM, PML,PPP everyone

Keep the public busy while they PPP, PML< ANP etc are looting the public coffers and MQM is busy with target killings.

No one knows the exact figure but one thing is for sure, there were not more than 8000 people and I would say there were even less than that.
'Lakhoon' is a HUGE lie, no doubt about it. If there had been hundreds of thousands then we would be seeing pictures and videos by MQM fans all over the internet claiming they have huge popularity. Usually they put many pictures of their gatherings online but this time it seems there wasnt much to show.
If MQM had gotten this many people without all the media hype it would have been acceptable, but now its a real failure because they promoted this jalsa on every news channel for weeks and even on the radio courtesy of 'free' media but still couldnt get a gathering large enough.

I guess the total attendance was around 7-8 thousand. 4 to 5 thousand were brought from Karachi and they were the one who listen the AH's speech full time. 8-10 thousand daily wage workers (diahari mazdoor) were brought from Faisalabad and other parts of Punjab on lucrative 3 days salary, but most of them ran away after reaching Lahore or half way through the jalsa. 500-1000 people joined them from Lahore and they were mostly PMLQ workers people like Sarfraz Nawaz and Hasan Nisar (even their family members didn't come)

You didnt see that outside the stadium there were thousands of people (on the roads, in offices, schools, colleges ;)), MQM counted them all as supporters.

MQM has so far not been able to gather LAKHONE LOAG in any of its Karachi Jalsa what to talk about Lahore. the camera was showing diff angles and maximum maximum there were about 15 thousands and for sure there were not more than 20 thousends.

MQM can never gain popularity in any other part of Pakistan given its horrible past record.The jalsa was held in Lahore to give a false impression to the hard core MQM supporters that the party is gaining popularity in Punjab though in actual fact that is not the case.

The So called parties of Lahore like PML-N and PTI cant even gather One-Fourth of these people in their own HOME CITY.

And look at their supporters talking their mouths off... :lol::lol: The day your parties gather this many people in your own city, then come and talk to us. Some parties PTI and PML-N are....
