The REAL Pakistani revolutionaries (unlike Gazoo and his khyali pulao party) :p

Chief Minister (5k+ posts)

A group of friends inspired by the lawyers movement put their heads together two years ago to come up with some way of providing community service. Zimmedaar Shehri was born out of those sessions. The group organises weekly garbage pick up points.
On Sunday, Zimmedaar Shehri held its two-year anniversary and chose Main Market as the spot to clean up.
Usama Mahmood, a recent medical graduate and one of the founding members, said, At that time we saw a lot of passion and energy in people. He said they came up with the idea as everyone complains about cleanliness.
We started with four people and now we have 4,000 members on Facebook. On any given weekend people stop what they are doing to help the city out, said Mahmood. We are really against the Twitter revolution because its all talk, the point is to get out and do something.
Zimmedaar Shehri chairperson, Murtaza Khwaja, said that Main Market was a small place which could be easily tackled. He said that the bigger picture was key. Its important for people to participate and not be afraid to set an example.
