S200 Surface to Air Missile HACK shoots down F-16 during Bosnia Serbia Conflict

I wanted to stress on a missile defences of Pakistan which has a weak defence SAM capability consisting of Anzh Mk 1,2,3 systems in comparison to India's multiple SAMs systems have better integrated SAMs.
The video depicts the actual true story of F-16 being shot down by single SAM missile battery during the Bosnia-Serbia conflict war against Nato in 1990's.
The commander of the SAM battery hacked the system to shoot down incoming enemy F-16s.

First of all if this story is true then it was a huge a fluke he got a hit, second the 2k12 KUB also has a optical guidance system for which you don't need the straight flush radar and can't be picked up by anti sam radars

You should remember this SAM battery was used during 25 years ago, the same exact SAM battery model today is much more advanced than the one in the Video. It was a long time ago, the point is to depict how the commander of the SAM battery over came the system to shoot the NATO F-16 to begin with a long time ago.

Like I said if that is true, it was a big fluke.

As I mentioned it is a true REAL story otherwise I wouldn't waste my time in producing, editing, compiling & replying in making the video yeah.
I'm not commenting on if it is true or not, only saying if it is, then it was just a fluke.

Okay it is true and the purpose of making the video is to show the knowledge of commanders usage of the technolgy at hand. Yes I know being "fluke" meaning a lucky kill regardless.

Its no fluke. Same commander also shot down a stealth plane.

Serbs also shot down an f117 nighthawk stealth fighter using this tactics. Its the only stealth aircraft ever to be shotdown.
Probably not using the same technique, F117 is strictly a bomber and has no defense ( some speculate it might have ECM jamming radars and basic flares and chaff but thats classified information ) its only defense is its stealth, so SAM batteries have no fear of getting painted and having a Shirke sent down their throats.

There were 1031 Nato aircraft participating in the bombing of Yugoslavia.

It is retarded to suggest that Yugoslav army would operate their radars with no fears.

Yugoslav army only had 100 sam launchers at the start of the campaign they had to use them very carefully and very sparingly. If they left them on for long than 17 seconds, they would be detected and destroyed.

I was referring only to this one incident, the radar operator can see how many aircraft are in the air even in that 20 second sweep and an experienced radar operator can even tell you what type of plane it is and clearly they were painting only one that night. Regardless still another fluke and if this technique was so great how come only 3 aircraft were shot down out of the 815 SAMs fired in the entire 5 year period. Thats a 0.37 success rate and thats horrible by any means. You would probably be more successful just firing blindly into the sky and still end up with a better percentage

Two F117s were taken out of combat permanently. It is the only time a stealth fighter has ever been hit. Its a great achievement for a 2nd world country with old soviet equipment.

Yugoslav airforce was useless. They had only a handful of modern fighters (estimated 5-15) but most of them malfunctioned after take off forcing them to return to base or be used as decoys.

  1. Riccioni, Col. Everest E. "Description of our Failing Defence Acquisition System." Project on government oversight, 8 March 2005. Quote: "This event, which occurred during the Kosovo conflict on 27 March, was a major blow to the US Air Force. The aircraft was special: an F-117 Nighthawk stealth bomber that should have been all but invisible to the Serbian air defences. And this certainly wasn't a fluke—a few nights later, Serb missiles damaged a second F-117."
