well i would not base my opinion on a taxi driver's view.. n the debate is not about sect.. its about whether US will attack iran or not.. i say they will never... though they will keep their pressure on iran..n use other ways, but never will they attack iran to destroy it...

no doubt russia is trying to strengthen itself.. but not by sending army.. it cannot do it now.. putin is facing tough time from its public.. there has been huge agitation against putin in russia.. he just cannot afford to send army to syria now..

Russian navy base is already in operation in Syria. whatever internal political problems they have does not reflect there foreign policy, believe me if Russia has decided to defend the invasion of Nato in Syria they will not let them do it, Remember the issue of American missile system in Poland where despite Polish government support Russia did not let them to do it.

I dont differentiate between Sunnis and Shias or any other religions, i have no problems with anyone. I one man is a Shia or Sunni and he supports USA doesnt mean all Sunnis or Shias are pro american. If on Shia soldier kills an American soldier does not mean that all Shias are Anti American.
I have prayed in a Shia mosque in Tehran even though i am Sunni, i dont care, neither did they. Iran is the only Islamic country in the Persian Gulf that doesnt have a US Base on its Soil, there is no US embassy in Iran and no Iranian Embassy in USA. USA and Iran have been hostile since the revolution, the Pro US Shah of Iran fled with all the wealth, USA froze all assets of Iran in foreign accounts and put embargos and sanctions on them, Iran has had to rely on their domestic produced weapons, how can you say a country is pro US when it doesnt even have a US embassy in that country. The Sunni sect, Sunni mosques, are specifically protected under the Iranian Constitution (Article 12 or 18 i think).
If you think im targeting a sect your wrong, I never even discuss different sects in my view everyone is equal so i dont care. Also even If US wanted to attack Iran they cant. Iran has military pact with Syria, so any attack on Syria is like an attack on Iran, plus Iran has great historic and cultural ties and influence stretching from Pakistan all the way to Egypt, they are also very close with China and Russia.
Even if Asad is a butcher that doesnt give right to USA to bomb a Muslim country just because they are Shiite.

If you want to know whether USA can attack Iran or not.... The answer is it will be suicide for USA. Here is my take on what will happen:
In first 24 hours of the attack 50% of Irans armour and 100% of the Airforce will be destroy and will lose most of its Navy.
Iran will respond by barraging Bahrain, Afghanistan, Parts of Iraq and Israel with Rockets and Missiles, the strait of Hormuz will be blocked, Oil supplies in the world will drop by as much as 20-30%, world will edge closer to an even greater economic crisis. Shiite militant groups in Syria, Lebonan and Jordan will stage large scale rocket bombardment of Israeli cities. Russia and China will stay neutral and supply arms to Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia, Afghanistan and other Islamic + Liberal countries will be against the US attack and some will provide covert support. While Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain will be in favour of it but they will be reluctant to offer bases to USA fearing an Iranian invasion. USA will be unable to invade Iran because Iranians have one of the largest standing armies in the world, and they are not cowardly Arabs.
The war will end in a stalemate, losses could be over $100B for the middle east region and even greater for US economy, the Govt will lose the next election, economy will be in crisis.

I dont talk about what someone else teaches me, I only talk from my own experience, Iranian people never forget the friendship of others and they never forget the enmity either. I am of the opinion that there will be a strong lobby in Pakistan that will force Pakistan to support Iran in case of an attack, since Iran helped Pakistan when India attacked us. Its in our best interest to keep Iran, Afghanistan and central Asian Islamic republics as close to us as in foreign policy as possible, they will be more reliable friends to us than US, China or Saudi Arabia, and if Pakistan fails Iran will also fail, we are linked were closely together.

As far as sectarianism is concerned, i do not believe in it... Those people who preach this are enemies of Islam, we are all equal. Let them believe what they believe and you believe what you believe and let everyone be.

Your probably not old enough to understand these issues nor intelligent enough, and you probably arent aware of details of the history of this region, nor do you bother to pay attention to what I say or confirm what I am saying. But ill make it very simple so that even a retarded person can understand.

1. Iranian military has a combined force of 2,000,000 men. So it is almost impossible to invade the country even if their armour and airforce is destroyed. Taliban are less than 100,000.
2. Iran has conscription meaning if you get 18years old you have to go for mandatory training in army, all Iranians are trained in using weapons and combat, so if need arises there will be more than 10,000,000 more men to volunteer for the forces.
3. Iran has great cultural influence and close ties with many countries in the region, Iran is a regional super power.
4. Iran can block the strait of Hormuz without the need of Navy or Air force.
5. US simply cannot afford another war, it will go bankrupt. Fire power alone cannot win wars, in US there is always problem of public opinions, the Vietcong never really one a battle against US marines, but they won the war because public opinion was against war in US. It will also be a diplomatic nightmare since so many countries have close ties with Iran.
6. Oil prices will sky rocket, the West being dependent on oil for their economies will be brought to their knees. Unemployment in US is already high with high costs this will get worse.
7. Iran is not like Saddam's Iraq, or Somalia or Afghanistan, its a powerful country. By powerful I mean, that unlike Saddam's army in 1990 and Pakistan's army in 1965, Irans army is mostly self sufficient in weapons, so they will not be weakened by arms embargoes like they did to Saddam.
8. Those who support sectarianism, or discriminate between Shia or Sunni, or justify using violence against any group is no doubt a terrorists. If there are some elements in Pakistan that take part in terrorist activities does not mean all Pakistanis are terrorists, it doesnt mean all Pakistanis hate Shias or Sunnis.

That is how I logically say that attacking Iran would be suicide for the US.
