Imran Khan tried his best, he wasn't able to break the ice of status quo, but he sure did leave a lot of cracks; And in the history of Pakistan, the first honest and sincere establishment (until now, don't know about the future) has taken full advantage of it and InShaAllah they will succeed in making Pakistan a safe and prospering country once again.

Flood and diseases are also a factor .... but it is limited to some areas

Main factor is declining exports

When rice was being exported , a farmer was getting 2000 to 2500 price for 40 Kg of rice

Now , the rice export has fallen drastically ... Last year rice is still in Gudams and farmers are being paid just 1200 to 1300 price for 40 kg from last year

Rice is the main crop of central Punjab, Hence the income of entire region has fallen almost half

There could be two reasons

Failure in finding Export Markets

or

Rice Cartel is looting poor farmers with the support of government (almost all the big rice exporters are the ministers in Punjab or Federal Governments )

Anyway , Just google Pakistani exports in last 2 years ... Our exports are falling and imports are increasing ... Do u call it stability of Economy?

Iran was a major exporter of Rice, due to it's ban, rice exports have sharply declined. Also the last flood in Punjab played havoc to the rice farms.

All of the above have played their own negative or positive role, over all the role in my opinion is positive.

If the xCJ had not campaigned, Mushe would still be here along with CH bros, there would had been no democracy, their would had been no PTI or PMLn.

The gov though not very effective, but still they managed to break the ice in Balochistan, which is much more peaceful now. Also they cooperated with army against TTP and the economic policies though not very strong but are still getting some results. Financially and socially we are much better than before, so the gov deserves it's own credit. Also this gov brought Gen Raheel, some cr for that as well.

PTI played a very negative role, especially the dharna fiasco, but due to PTI the gov always had to perform better.

Some individuals from the armed forced did try to destabilize the country, but many other fought at places like Waziristan, with militants that some other individuals from the same fraternity had brought up. The role in Karachi has been wonderful.

The electronic media was also behind xCJ, the movement that brought the real change, even after that the are constantly doing some very fine work, although we all know that they need to be tied under some rules and regulation, that is gov responsibility.

That is why in my own opinion all the parties have played their own positive role.

Bro! you posted a wrong link......... There is nothing in it that Iran banned Pakistani rice

In 2005, the price rate for 40 kg rice was 1100

Then it rose to 2000 to 2500 Hundred in 2006 and 07 till 2013

Now it is again down to 1300 hundred

70% of central Punjab population is dependent on agriculture ..... It means income of 70% has reduced to half in last two years

Anyway... It is the duty of government to find rice markets

During Dharna days..... the government announced that every rice farmer whose crop was destroyed by flood or diseases will get 10,000 rupees per acre from government and government started collecting the data from every village

Dharna ended and Government also turned blind eye
