US trainers ordered to quit Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has ordered US security officials staying in the country to return back to home, sources said. *

According to sources, the American troops have been pulled out of Charat, Tarbela Ghazi and Attock Fort and ordered to quit Pakistan within a week.

A small number of US military trainers are staying in Pakistan for training of the Special Services Group of Pakistan Army, US officials said.

The Pentagon said last year there are about 200 US special operations forces in Pakistan providing training in counter-insurgency.

LHC moved to expel US envoy from Pakistan

On 16 May,2011
A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC), seeking the expulsion of the US envoy.

According to a private television channel, the petitioner’s lawyer, Iqbal Jaffery, maintained that the US raid in Abbottabad was a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty so the court should order the government to take the matter to the International Court of Justice.

The petitioner demanded that the US envoy should be expelled until the US would apologies for violating Pakistan’s territorial boundaries and Pakistan should also call back its envoy from Washington.

The petitioner also said that Pakistan should cut the supply line of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization forces in response to the attack on the national sovereignty.
