LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says it’s time to promote national solidarity, remove economic disparities, check plunder of national resources and eliminate corruption.
He said the forefathers of the nation had rendered sacrifices for a homeland where there would be justice, equal rights and opportunities of progress besides love and brotherhood. But despite the lapse of 65 years, Pakistan could not become such a country as was envisioned by its founders.
He was addressing a flag-hoisting ceremony in connection with Independence Day at Huzoori Bagh here on Sunday. Greeting the people on the 65th Independence anniversary of the country, the chief minister said 14th August was the day to salute the founders of Pakistan and martyrs of the Pakistan Movement on their heroic struggle and supreme sacrifices.
He said it was the day to pay tributes to the mothers and sisters as well as hundreds of thousands of Muslims who were forced to leave their homes and migrate with the hopes of better future.
Shahbaz said though Pakistan achieved some successes during its history years the biggest of which was it’s becoming a nuclear power due to the efforts of its scientists and determination of various governments but the list of its failures was very long. (Courtesy: The News)

PTI k kisi jalse main is jalse ka one-third bhi nahi hota aurr woh sare Pakistan se bulae howe PTI k supporters hote hyn aur 2 month pehle plan jalsa hota hy ye short notice per organize kiya gya tha is liye itne log thay warna es se kai guna zayada log hote but PTI k liye itna he kafi hy otherwise pehli hee Dharna Khan maidan chor kar bhag jaega.
