Re: London police confirms two arrested in Farooqs murder case

I smell rat in this news. I can see Zardaris dirty hand in this news. My take on this news is as follows:

1- This news is referring to the same arrests which are made months ago. First Pakistani Government either have misled or requested the British authorities not to disclose it or more accurately not acknowledge it immediately for the sake of protection and blossoming of democracy in Pakistan.

2- Zardari concluded the negotiation with MQM; brought them back to the Government, strengthen the hands of PPP on the name of Politics of reconciliation. Now the release of the information by the Yard. Something which they denied earlier that any arrests had been made in this case.

I can also predict that it would have been the part of negotiation with MQM to present these two killers unattached to MQM and portray they acted on their own. Weird but this is the only viable option.

If not, we should expect MQM leaving the Government again, which I doubt.
Dirty politics of Zardari, PPP and MQM. Zardari would try his best to pervert the course of justice like he did recently in the case against Moonis Elahi.

It all depends on which justice we are talking about. If its pakistani justice then we should not have any hope.....in pakistan the justice has no teeth or spine and the prosecutorial institutions are utterly incompetent and corrupt

Whoever they are, may they not escape justice

I would ask to London Polics commisioner:
The killers would not be allowed to roam freely on the streets of London.

Why Altaf Hussain is allowed to roam in London??????????????

Re: London police confirms two arrested in Farooqs murder case

I agree with you given the timing of the news. I believe that this was well managed by PPP in conjunction with MQM. Commissioner-ate system being revived and MQM withdrawing from the nazim system may well all be linked. With the low exposure that this news is fed to the media it seems that its all very well managed. Remember the hysteria the last time these reports were flying around - strange is the way things work in Pakistan. When Rahman Malik says something I always assume the opposite - and when this news flashed couple of months back he didn't deny it outright but denied it in a roundabout way. A few months gives them the chance to sort things out and come up with a plausible story that could be fed to the "goras." If this is portrayed as a murder based on business dealings you don't get much time from the "gora" judicial systems specially the killers are portrayed as hired guns - a the most the killers if assumed are the hired guns then they will get 6-7 years in a cozy "gora" jail - may seem pretty good to someone from Karachi - specially target killers - may make them even better and they may learn to speak english - they will see it as an opportunity to add something to their resume the next time around they offer their services. I wonder if Imran Farooq was part of the Mafia and had business issues with them that they went with such and elaborate scheme for murder - this doesnt seem like a business dispute between partners in a small pharmacy. This story may be bought by the "goras" but its hard to digest for me. I admit that i am very cynical and suspicious.....but there is good reason for that.
