LB elections in KP

KP was supposed to hold LB elections ahead of other provinces, but so far it is lagging behind, unable to actualise the proposed amendments. The simple way out is to adopt the Musharaff model instead of getting into the intricacy of village councils which will create confusion at best. Union Council is fair enough devolvement and if given financial authority as proposed for village council, the existing UC can do the job well. Yes, the proposal of having direct elections for District and Tehsil council chairmen must be stuck to, as that is the real game changer in LB elections.

Musharaf Model was the worst form of Corrupt system. In that system the power was concentric with Nazim-e-Aala and other Nazimeen only. Ordinary people could only elect counselors and then a flood of corruption use to start in buying votes for various posts of Nazimeen.

BTW what did that system achieve in 10 years for common people?

HAHAH.......... Who told you that? LB had a lot of funds but they had used it for their own.

Plus did you forget the vote buying for Nazimeen and Nazim-e-Aala. If Nazimeen would spend Millions in buying votes for their elections, then what would you expect from them. Only corruption in funds is left for them. That system was just rubbish and confusing system.

That is why it is important that all nazimeen whether Tehsil or District, all be elected through direct voting like in general elections. Then there will be no buying/selling of councillors votes.
