Terrorists rescue accomplice in Karachi attack
Injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital.
KARACHI: One policeman was killed and five others injured in a brazen attack carried out by banned outfit Jundullah, outside the city courts in Karachi.
The late Saturday afternoon attack was carried out by gunmen who opened firing on policemen in a bid to rescue their accomplices from police custody. Policemen retaliated by opening fire in which one attacker was killed. Two attackers have been arrested in an injured condition.
The remaining attackers managed to flee the scene along with their accomplice whom they succesfully helped escape. Hand grenades were also used in the attack. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, Karachi.
