FYI as far as I know David Headly is a US citizen, Kazabs case is a curious one where he reverted his statement in court what happened to that? and do you think that all decisions by the courts are faultless and this case was not affected by the hype and propoganda created by the indian media and Govt. prior to the court proceedings? do you think it was fair the speed with which the affair was conducted considering the scale and scope of the allegations,and inspite of the Pakistan government asking for Evidence?
Please keep in mind that Pakistan has extended much more for peace and india has used one pretext or the other for doing what it wants to. Now you are holding a narrow point of view from one angle and that does not help.
What happened to the murderers of the people who torched the Samjhota train in india and what was that? not a terrorist act on the indian soil against Pakistanis conducted by indian army officer?? Now I ask you DO YOU WANT SUCH MEN TO SUCCEED OR FAIL?

Truth doesn't change with the audience and neither should the message. You expressed pride that your intelligence agency has its neighbour so afraid that they they blame it even when a baloon explodes. The exaggeration in that statement is obvious but so is the truth. It's like saying "i am proud of Al Qaeda because everyone blames it even when a baloon explodes". Now Al Qaeda has worked hard to build that kind of reputation and unfortunately so has ISI. And your statement reflects a celebration of such a reputation... Now you may think such reputation works to the advantage of pakistan but you are plain wrong.
If that truly was the case then you wouldn't see such long lineups outside US embassy in pakistan.

You are right, David Headley is a US citizen and that is why he got convicted. If he was a pakistani that its unlikely we would've ever heard of him. Headly was born in Pakistan as Daood Sayed Gilani and went to Cadet College Hasan Abdal. He was charged with conspiring & facilitating terrorist attacks on mumbai which killed 173 people. He plead guilty and testified to working on instructions of ISI & Pak army officers alongside LeT to facilitate these attacks.
As for Kasab, you can call him innocent inspite of over 650 people testifying against him, CCTV footage, on camera admission of guilt, GPS & phone records....... but that makes you someone who is still living in the denial hole. Even you gov't has finally come out of that hole and hopefully so will you.
I want such men to not only fail but i want them arrested, charged, convicted and then sent to prison for rest of their life. I also want higher compensation amount to be paid to victim families of Samjhota blast than what has been paid so far. And I like to see india apologize to pakistani people and gov't for not having adequate safety for their guests.

My army and intelligence do not blow people up in other countries. They fight at the fronts and face their enemy in the battle ground. They have fought with some time 3 and some time 100 times bigger enemy. You still have to face an army of your own size in your history. It is their fear and failure on the part of enemy to counter them that they purport with others and blame their inefficiency on others. Their blame game on ISI shows that they know that ISI need to be uprooted to forward their agenda. So if you go back to my audience oriented approach it gives a clear answer to my fellow citizen. As far as RAW and its henious crimes in Pakistan and other countries there is along list.
Pali please stop your stupid argument. My time is best spent when I try to raise fingure on the issues that are being faced by our own Ummah. We as muslims and Pakistanies need to change our selves and that is my priority not to answer illogical arguments.

The judiciary in India is much more independent than in pakistan. It was an open trial for Kasab before the media and the whole world unlike pakistan where the trial of lakhvi and other LET terrorists is behind the closed doors, not even pakistani media is allowed. (hmm)

Can you please go into a bit detail of Taliban's history?? Now don't tell me that United State has nothing to do with the creation of Taliban and Mujahideen. It was United State not ISI who funded these groups for there own interest.
I guess these reports are purported by the same organization of the same country that once claimed that Iraq has WMDs right?

طالبان کچھ تاريخی حقائق
چونکہ آپ نے افغانستان سے روسی انخلاء کے بعد طالبان کی تحريک کے آغاز، اور اس دوران امريکی رول کے بارے ميں تجزيہ کيا ہے تو يہ ضروری ہے کہ قياس اور عمومی تاثر کی بجاۓ تاريخی حقائق کی روشنی ميں بحث کی جاۓ۔
ميں جو حقائق پيش کر رہا ہوں يہ کسی ادارے يا فرد کے تجزيے يا رپورٹ کی بنياد پر نہيں ہيں بلکہ امريکی حکومت کے سرکاری دستاويزات کی بنياد پر ہيں۔
يہ درست ہے کہ امريکہ اور افغان عوام نے روسی انخلاء کا خير مقدم کيا تھا۔ ليکن اس کے نتيجے ميں افغانستان ميں ايک واضح سياسی خلا پيدا ہو گيا تھا۔ اس خلا کے نتيجے ميں جب خانہ جنگی کا آغاز ہوا تو اقوام متحدہ نے اپنے ايک خصوصی نمايندے محمود مستری کے ذريعے مختلف سياسی دھڑوں کے مابين سياسی مفاہمت کی کئ کوششيں کيں ليکن وہ ناکام ثابت ہوئيں۔ اس ضمن ميں عالمی برادری نے کابل ميں ربانی اور احمد شاہ مسعود سميت کئ گروپوں کے مابين امن معاہدے کی ناکام کاوششيں کيں۔ ان ناکام کوششوں کے بعد افغانستان ميں خانہ جنگی شدت اختيار کر گئ جس ميں ربانی اور مسعود کسی حد تک حکومتی رول نبھا رہے تھے ليکن افغان جہاد کے وار لارڈ جيسے کہ ازبک کمانڈر عبدل راشد دوستم، پاکستان کے تربيت يافتہ گلبدين حکمت يار اور اسماعيل خان اپنے اثر ورسوخ اور طاقت ميں کمی کرنے پر آمادہ نہيں ہوۓ جس کے نتيجے ميں مسلۓ کا پرامن حل ممکن نہيں رہا۔
اس صورت حال ميں بيرونی طاقتوں نے افغانستان ميں عدم تحفظ سے فائدہ اٹھاتے ہوۓ اپنے سياسی اور دفاعی ايجنڈے کو فروغ دينا شروع کيا۔ مثال کے طور پر پاکستان نے افغانستان کو بھارت کے خلاف دفاعی اصطلاح ميں "اسٹريٹيجک ڈيپتھ" کے طور پر استعمال کرنے کا فيصلہ کيا۔
ابتدا ميں پاکستان نے پختون کمانڈر گلبدين حکمت يار کو سپورٹ کيا جو افغان جہاد ميں اپنے کردار کی وجہ سے افغنستان کے سياسی منظر نامے پر اپنا اثرورسوخ رکھتے تھے۔ جب حکمت يار پاکستان کے لیے مطلوبہ نتائج حاصل کرنے ميں ناکام رہے تو حکومت پاکستان نے مذہبی طالب علموں کی ايک نئ تحريک کو سپورٹ کرنے کا فيصلہ کيا جو کہ طالبان کے نام سے جانے جاتے تھے۔
جيسا کہ ميں نے پہلے کہا کہ واقعات کا يہ تسلسل ان سرکاری دستاويزات سے ثابت ہے جو ميں يہاں پوسٹ کر رہا ہوں۔
نومبر 1994 کی يہ دستاويز اس واقعے کے ايک ماہ بعد کی ہے جب افغان پاکستان بارڈر پر طالبان نے سپن بولڈيک کی پوسٹ پر قبضہ کيا۔ اس کاروائ ميں طالبان کی براہراست مدد پاکستان کی فرنٹير کور نے کی تھی۔
(اس دستاويز ميں يہ واضح ہے کہ طالبان کی براہراست سپورٹ پاکستان سے کی گئ جس ميں سب سے نماياں کردار جرنل بابر کا تھا۔)
اس دستاويز سے يہ بھی واضح ہے کہ اس کاميابی کے بعد طالبان کے اثرورسوخ ميں اضافہ ہو گيا اور اس کے ساتھ ساتھ ان کے اسلحے کی سپلائ ميں بھی بتدريج اضافہ ہوتا گيا۔ پاکستان کی جانب سے طالبان کی سپورٹ کا فيصلہ صرف اس ليے نہيں تھا کہ افغانستان کی سڑکوں کو محفوظ بنا کرٹرانس افغان گيس پائپ لائن کو ممکن بنايا جا سکے بلکہ پاکستانی قيادت کے نزديک طالبان افغانستان کے اندر اپنے اثر ورسوخ اور طاقت کے ذريعے پاکستانی کو حکمت عملی کے حوالے سے وہ فوجی برتری دلا سکتے ہيں جو وہ بھارت کے مقابلے ميں استعمال کر سکتے ہیں۔
(يہ دستاويز اس مراسلے کی ہے جو امريکی اسٹيٹ ڈيپارٹمنٹ کے افغان ڈيسک کو بيجھی گئ تھی جس ميں حکومت پاکستان اور آئ ايس آئ کی جانب سے طالبان کی قندھار کے قبضے کے ضمن ميں براہ راست مداخلت پر تحفظات کا اظہار کيا گيا تھا۔ اس مراسلے کے آخر ميں ہاتھ سے لکھا ہوا يہ جملہ بھی موجود ہے کہ "اج صبح جرنل بابر طالبان آپريشن کی کمانڈ کر رہے تھے")
تاريخی دستاويزات سے يہ واضح ہے کہ پاکستانی افسران کو اس بات کا احساس ہو گيا کہ طالبان پر نہ صرف يہ کنٹرول رکھنا ممکن نہيں ہے بلکہ وہ قابل اعتبار بھی نہيں ہيں۔ کچھ موقعوں پر طالبان امن کے قيام کی ضرورت کا اظہار کرتے، اقوام متحدہ سے تعاون کی يقين دہانی کرواتے اور افغانستان کے مسائل کے حل کے ليے طاقت کی بجاۓ پرامن طريقوں کی حمايت بھی کرتے ليکن پھر اپنا يہ نقطہ نظر بھی بيان کر ديتے کہ "جو بھی ہمارے راستے ميں آۓ گا اسے ختم کر ديا جاۓ گا"۔
سرکاری دستاويزات سے يہ بھی واضح ہے کہ امريکہ نے افغانستان کے پرامن سياسی حل کے ليے ہر ممکن کوشش کی صرف اس ليے نہيں کہ امريکہ ٹی اے پی سے منسلک کاروباری فائدے حاصل کرنا چاہتا تھا بلکہ ديگر اہم ايشوز جيسے کہ انسانی حقوق، منشيات کا خاتمہ اور دہشت گردی بھی اس کے ايجنڈے کا حصہ تھے۔
(اس دستاويز ميں امريکی سفير کی سويت خارجہ سفير سے ملاقات کا ذکر موجود ہے جس ميں امريکہ کی جانب سے افغنستان کے مسلۓ کے حل کيے ليے ہر ممکن کوشش کا يقين دلايا گيا تھا)۔
(اس دستاويز سے يہ پتا چلتا ہے کہ کابل ميں طالبان کے قبضے کے بعد پاکستان ميں امريکی قونصل خانے کو ہدايت کی گئ تھی کہ طالبان کے بارے ميں نہ صرف يہ کہ ضروری معلومات حاصل کی جائيں بلکہ اس تنظيم سے رابطہ کرنے کا انتظام بھی کيا جاۓ۔ اس دستاويز سے يہ بھی ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ امريکہ اس وقت بھی اسامہ بن لادن کی تلاش کے لیے ہر ممکن کوشش کر رہا تھا)
کئ مواقع پر امريکہ نے طالبان سے منشيات، خواتين کے حقوق اور اسامہ بن لادن کو اپنی دہشت گردی کی کاروائيوں کے لیے محفوظ مقام فراہم کرنے کے ضمن ميں اپنے خدشات سے آگاہ کيا۔
يہ تھيوری کہ سی آئ اے طالبان کی امداد ميں براہ راست ملوث تھی، ان دستاويزات سے غلط ثابت ہو جاتی ہے کيونکہ يہ واضح ہے کہ امريکہ کو ہر سطح پر طالبان سے بات چيت ميں شديد مشکلات درپيش تھيں۔
يہ حقيقت جلد ہی واضح ہو گئ کہ طالبان کی حکومت افغانستان اور عالمی سلامتی کے ليے ايک اچھا شگون نہيں تھا۔ منشيات کو غير اسلامی قرار دينے کے باوجود اس ضمن ميں ان کی عملی پاليسی اور القائدہ سميت بے شمار دہشت گردوں کو اپنے اڈے بنانے کی اجازت اس حقيقت کو واضح کر رہے تھے۔ امريکی سيکرٹری ٹيلبوٹ نے فروری 1996 ميں پاکستان کے وزير خارجہ آصف علی سے اپنی ملاقات ميں طالبان کے حوالے سے خطرات کی نشاندہی کرتے ہوۓ پاکستان کی جانب سے افغانستان ميں طالبان کی سپورٹ کو مقبوضہ کشمير ميں عسکری گروپوں کو دی جانے والی سپورٹ سے تشبيہہ دی۔ ۔ امريکی سيکرٹری ٹيلبوٹ نے کہا تھا کہ اگرچہ يہ سپورٹ پاکستان نے اپنے وسيع تر قومی مفاد ميں دی ہے ليکن اس اسپورٹ کے پاکستان اور خطے کے لیے ايسے نتائج بھی نکل سکتے ہيں جس کی نہ تو پاکستان توقع کر رہا ہے اور نہ ہی وہ پاکستان کی حکمت عملی کا حصہ ہے۔
امريکی سيکرٹری ٹيلبوٹ نے جن غير متوقع نتائج کا ذکر کيا تھا وہ 11 ستمبر 2001 کو سب پر واضح ہو گۓ۔
