WASHINGTON: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s visit to China, which he declared Pakistan’s best friend, makes it harder to sell an angry US public on aid to Islamabad, a key US senator said Tuesday.
“Frankly, I’m getting tired of it, and I think Americans are getting tired of it as far as shovelling money in there at people who just flat don’t like us,” said Idaho Republican Senator James Risch.
Continued aid to Pakistan, Risch argued, was “a hard sell to the American people” when cash-strapped Washington sends assistance to Islamabad, only to see “the head of Pakistan go to China and… stand up and say ‘you’re our best friend.’”
His comments came during a US Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on sour US-Pakistan ties in the wake of the raid in which elite US commandos killed Osama bin Laden in a military academy town near Islamabad.
And they follow Gilani’s arrival in China, where the Pakistani leader declared: “We are proud to have China as our best and most trusted friend, and China will always find Pakistan standing beside it at all times.”
Asked at the hearing about the visit, former White House national security adviser Jim Jones said Washington must work to ensure that Gilani’s visit to China does not worsen his country’s already strained India ties.
“If any part of Pakistan thinking is that better relations with China make India mad, and that’s therefore a good thing to do, then that’s flawed thinking,” said Jones.
“We need to try to ensure that we can make sure that relations don’t get worse as a result of this kind of trip and this kind of rhetoric,” said Jones.

This is a very skewed way of looking at the relations between Pakistan and China. Any one with an iota of common sense will not take that view to it. But if any one wants to they have the right to make their own deductions and follow their own judgement.
Eye opener definitley, the comments though!

Frankly, Im getting tired of it, and I think Americans are getting tired of it as far as shovelling money in there at people who just flat dont like us, said Idaho Republican Senator James Risch.

Yes Senator, and Pakistani people are getting fed up from the Americans who pay us money for their dirty work in war on terror. But unfortunately, they don't pay the full amount and secondly, now news are coming they are not paying almost half of what was billed by Pakistan.

When are you going to get the message, majority of people in the world don't like you? Even populace in the countries who officially provides you support don't like you. Get a reality check please.

the head of Pakistan go to China and stand up and say youre our best friend.

Truth hearts? Let me break another news to you, not only the people of Pakistan but majority of the people in Power do not like you. They may like your money , but not you, you should wise up.

Asked at the hearing about the visit, former White House national security adviser Jim Jones said Washington must work to ensure that Gilanis visit to China does not worsen his countrys already strained India ties.

This is a hidden threat, Going near to China means, the wrath of Americans and chance of worsening of ties with India. Or in other words, a message to Pakistan, be careful, we have surrounded you from both sides. You better be aware of us instead of going to China as a friend.

Tell us something new, we already know our enemies, USA included.

Our rulers had adopted the policy to rely on US and did not feel necessary to have good relations with any other power. Our disloyal rulers thought perhaps politicians of US are also like them and will give preference to Pakistan on the interest of their country.
I respect the US politicians because they are loyal to their country and we should not blame them because it is our inability to understand them.
Pakistan should have good relations with all the countries and I am sure that US will have no objection on it.

WASHINGTON: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s visit to China, which he declared Pakistan’s best friend, makes it harder to sell an angry US public on aid to Islamabad, a key US senator said Tuesday.

I hope it gets hardest enough for you to stop the aid. Your aids for us is worse than AIDS.

You have no idea how much we are tired of you shoveling drones and suicide bombers on us. The money you send is NOT aid its a down payment to buy our leaders to do what you want them to do. You and your comrades have said the similar thing million times about Israel. You have declared Israel your best friend and ally even at the most delicate of the times - when UN was passing a resolution. You walked out.

His comments came during a US Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on sour US-Pakistan ties in the wake of the raid in which elite US commandos killed Osama bin Laden in a military academy town near Islamabad.

And they follow Gilani’s arrival in China, where the Pakistani leader declared: “We are proud to have China as our best and most trusted friend, and China will always find Pakistan standing beside it at all times.” Indeed China is our best friend and will remain best friend. Now we know you will be trying to sabotage this friendship just like you arranged the killing of Saudi officials in KHI thru India and MQM.

Our friendship with China is not intended to make any one mad. But it seems like you are hurting more than any one else.

“We need to try to ensure that we can make sure that relations don’t get worse as a result of this kind of trip and this kind of rhetoric,” said Jones.

The relationship with India has already worsened because your arming up of India to the tune of $30billion. Not to mention your sending of drones, terrorist, bombing in cooperation with RAW, Mossad, and MQM
