It's a very long debate. But I'd have liked if in the end, they had advised us to work on some alternatives to the games we find in the western world. How about Islamic games? Games which don't have negative influences but actually help children learn valuable lessons through interactive teaching? How about games for Da'wah? There are endless possibilities here. Calling something bad is not going to cut it. We'll have to devise means to counter the western media influence and provide an Islamic alternative for our youth.

I seriously doubt are Pakistani muftis this VAILA? to prohibit ALMOST EVERYTHING i mean the logic given behind the reason of passing this resolution is simply implausible, i mean in one of the reasons it stated that '' it is disallowed because you sit idle without any vigorous movement or activity so it is haram - so by this logic Wii is hilal as in that you actually move yourself in order to play the game and indeed is a very good exercise for girls at home ''

secondly saying that: if you reap fun out of something it is haram? So by that logic even studying should be declared haram too

If you disagree with the fatwa you must have a counter argument...and if you don't then better not comment on it or spread it negatively. You said EVEN video games...looks like any fatwa that will be given and is against what you are doing in your life, you will not agree with it as you do not have the heart and courage to leave it for Islam.

In developed countries surgeons are encouraged these days to play video games especially trainee surgeons but we don't want to produce skilled surgeons since we are experts in producing terrorists !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to say whether video games are halal or not. But people do waste an awful lot of times in front of their consoles and computers (espiecially children). You can put this time to good use by remembering Allah with His zikr. Or atleast take on some physical actvities to gain some health. Our Prophet Salallahu Alayhe Wasallam used to encourage his Companions (RA) to take on activities such are horse-riding, wrestling, archery, etc. He even used to encourage them and congratulate them upon attaining excellence in such actvities. So having a good time and enjoying a bit is not really prohibited. Just take up some useful and productive activities.

So please, think twice before suddenly passing verdicts such as "Yeh mulla baray hi vailay hain" waghera waghera. Waisay hi hamari qaum bari peeche reh gaee hai apni kahili aur susti ki waja say. Apnay time ka sahi istemaal karain.
