UAE, Qatar and China are the examples where you have dictatorships or oligarchies but have developed in front of our eyes from a third world country to well developed nations.
It's true that corruption alone does not bankrupt a country. However, it is the lack of sincerity/patriotism, incompetence and the quantum of corruption that determines the fate of a nation.
