Widow of Faheem committed suicide by taking poisonous pills. Faheem was shot dead by an American citizen Raymond Davis in Lahore. Faheem’s wife was urgently taken to hospital where doctors tried their best to save her life but she could not recover and died. Faheems brother told that the dead body of Shumaila was not handed over to the family despite the protest.
Widow of Faheem committed suicide on Sunday by taking poisonous pills. Faheem was shot dead by an American citizen Raymond Davis in Lahore. Faheem’s wife was urgently taken to hospital where doctors tried their best to save her life but she could not recover and died. Faheems brother told that the dead body of Shumaila is not being handed over to the family despite the protest.
According to sources, Shumaila stated that she was committing suicide because she was not expecting justice in Raymond Davis case. After suicide attempt, Shumaila was admitted to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad where she breathed her last.
After Shumaila’s death, heavy contingent of police surrounded Allied Hospital and evacuated the ward whereas, Elite Force were deployed near the main gate of the hospital.

Dunya News has got the copy of the office ID card of the detained US consulate worker Raymond Davis. Davis was a former US Army officer and a defense contractor.
The US consulate worker, who had killed two Pakistani citizens in Lahore, has worked as a firing instructor for US Army.
Sources told that Davis’ name was not included in the list of diplomatic and non-diplomatic officers which was sent to the foreign ministry of Pakistan on 25th of Jan 2011 for the issuance of ID cards. However, after Lahore incident, his name has been included by the US consulate in the revised list of 28th of Jan 2011.
As per details, an employee of US Consulate in Lahore on Thursday (27th of January) shot at 2 persons at Qartaba Chowk and hit another bike riderand driving rashly, in an attempt to to escape the scene. The motorcyclist Ubaidur Rehman was killed on the spot while other two injured -- Faizan Haider and an unidentified person -- succumbed to their injuries in the Services Hospital. Police apprehended Steve David from Purani Anarkali and confiscated a pistol with bullets and three mobile phones from his possession. Police have taken Raymond s car into custody and started investigation of the incident. The accused told the police that he opened fire on the deceased at Qartaba Chowk, Lahore in his defence as they tried to rob him.
