No I don't see India leading the region but India has influenced many countries in the world and this is one of the necessary steps. The object of the country is not to lead anyone but those who want to follow have the choice.

India can influence most of asian country :all our neighbors,africa,korean penisula ,south east asia,indian ocean islands (australia)and country , but japan and pacific islands including north/south america are the only continent where india cant influence albeit some economic influence do exist !!

Factually :India is member of BRIC,BRICS =>Emerging economy,G20 which replaces G8 and G4 The 4 UNSC permanent member aspirant!!
India vote on west asia libya attack,next chief of IMF and putting sanctions on axis of evil country although now are not deciding but in years to come,indian support of all world related issues will be necessary !!
By 2030,indian will be able to influence all country in this world !!It will be the most populous country in this world...it will be defacto UNSC permanent member with support of all prominent country in this world with veto support!!Growth of india as big power will provide stability to west asia,afpak region!!

There are countries that are very interested in doing business with India almost the entire west, north and south Americas and including China. High level delegations of these countries frequently visit India to see how they can help and be helped by the rise of Indian economy.

India has remained self absorbed in the past couple of decades. US secretary of states has simply stated that India should get out of and try to assert it self in Asia.

It is true. Many countries have followed India's nonviolence and have got freedom. Not only, countries but movements within country like Martin Luther King's have achieved, Leadership means role model for others to emulate.

Being polite,calm is normal !!Brave people dont need to show bravery in todays world..there is something called rule of law of every govt...
We dont need to take Ak47 in hand and show our bravery like talibani gangs :) Once time demanded india showed bravery in kargil,1971 !!

There are so many misconceptions. People who are working in dubai etc are from very poor backgrounds. Have you seen how these people are exploited? Bangladeshis , pakistanis and Indians are all equally exploited. The perspective is like this. India was a hindu country.This is our home grown faith. There was never any fear from anybody. Then came marauders from arab countries and central asian republics. They came as looters. That set the stage. Thereafter began the rule and conversions etc. Suppose Hindus had gone and done this in Arabia what do you think would be their reaction? Its the same. Every action has a reaction. So in Indian sub-continent there is fear about what we almost lost. That was more because of not being aware of our entity as being different from others. But now we are aware , of what we have. Our forefather's heritage. If Gujarat has happened, there are 2 sides to that coin. You are aware that taali kabhi ek hath se nahi bajti. People do indulge in rioting, but isn't that happening between warring groups everywhere. Look at your karachi. You are all muslims yet killing each other? This attitude has less to do with religion, and more to do with criminal behavior. There is a saying Intellect is stronger than force. In the end intellect will survive. History has proven this. Yes we were not united then hence we were looted and almost destroyed in our own land. But we have learnt how to get over all that and now we are in the driver's seat again. Don't worry. In another few years no indians will be seen being exploited anywhere in the world. This is a promise we have made to ourselves.:)

brother i am not taking about religon.in karachi people are killing each other ok i accept that is powe game and it is on the name of language .u have also power game but on the name of religon.
