Afia Siddiqui and Wikileaks....

Diehard supporters of Aafia Siddiqui have maintained her innocence from when she was arrested in Ghazi in 2008, where she was caught in possession of chemicals, through to her trial in New York City in 2010, where she was handed down an 86-year sentence for shooting at her US interrogators. However, the latest revelations from WikiLeaks show that she was part of an al Qaeda cabal plotting to smuggle explosives into the US, and that she volunteered to manufacture biological weapons. This is unlikely to dampen the ardour of her vociferous supporters, but for the rest of us it should now be abundantly clear that Aafia was deeply tied to al Qaeda.
Much of the information in the WikiLeaks files concerning Aafia comes from testimony from 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who was waterboarded nearly 200 times in Guantanamo Bay. It is possible that he may have agreed with everything his interrogators demanded of him because of the torture methods employed. Still, the coincidences are far too damning to buy the story that Aafia was trapped in a web of US conspiracies. According to the cables, Mohammeds nephew, Ammar Baluchi, who was allegedly married to Aafia, was the person who asked Aafia to work on manufacturing biological weapons. The file of Guantanamo detainee Saifullah Paracha, another cause celebre in Pakistan, says that Aafia opened a PO box in the US as part of a plan to smuggle explosives into the US. That Parachas son was in possession of the key to that box is again damning for Aafia.
This is not to say that the US has handled Aafias case according to international norms. Her whereabouts since her disappearance from Karachi in 2003 till she was arrested in 2008 in Afghanistan remain a mystery and she may well have been illegally detained by either the US or Pakistan. She has also never been charged with or tried for terrorism in a court. In the court of public opinion, however, she should now be considered guilty.

Exactly the same as the Lady Dr. from Iraq who was called to be a expert in Germ warfare before the war and then they released her quietly. Fox did not have anything to comment on that.

Aafia was unlawfully detained from Karachi. She should have been tried in a Pakistani court. However, I feel she had links with terrorist organizations as was not an innocent and ordinary women. She was definitely up to something. She got married to an Al-Qaeda figure. Would an innocent and ordinary woman do that??? But definitely whats happening to her in not right and unjust. She should be returned to Pakistan and tried here. She is a Pakistani citizen and USA has no right to detain her.

Was there any need of such Wiki leaks.......... All these Leaks have been already revealed by US ages ago, what the fuss......

I do not know when Pakistaniz will get intellectual power
yarr PK001 you need 6 more to become 007 (means total idiot). Please consult some other sources wile copy pasting

Dr Fauzia pointed out that an FBI agent had told the US court in an affidavit that Afghan police officers of Ghazni province had found Aafia along with a teenage boy outside the Ghazni governor’s compound. She said it was a joke because a woman who had disappeared while on way to the airport in Karachi to take a flight for Rawalpindi in March 2003 had been found five years later in Ghazni. Demanding information about her three children, she said that her relatives in the US who wanted to fight her case were being denied access to her.
Dr Fauzia also said that Aafia was not a neurobiologist, but had specialised in helping mentally retarded children to improve their memory.

Answering a question, she said that she and her relatives had met the relevant authorities in Pakistan soon after Aafia’s abduction and they promised that she would be released soon, but all of it turned out to be farce.
She also said that members of her family had been receiving anonymous calls threatening them of consequences if they spoke about Aafia.
Why was she charged with possessing documents about chemical weapons now and why was she not tried five years ago when she had been abducted?, she asked.
Was Dr Aafia Siddiqui involved in Making Biological Weapons for Al Qaeda?

I always had one question .. it was raised in the original topic but wasnt answered ..
why .. if she was terrorist, involved in explosives, linked with AL Qaida .... why she wasnt put on trial in court for that ?
why only trial and conviction she had was for shooting a interrogator ?

Best thing to do is to read transcript of the trial. She decided to testify in her defense despite being told not to by her defense team. She was a horrible witness made it very easy to convict her.

come on man .. is that a joke ?
such videos can be easily fabricated ..
I dont even see their faces .... have u ever seen a suicide bomber bring along his children too ?
what will be the purpose of that ?

I know Faisal Saleh Hayat admitted on media when he was interior minister that security forces have arrested her ..
I listed to that personally .. no one else told me that ..
next day he retracted from his statement .. and there werent any whereabouts of her for years .. until recently ..

I dont think I understood your reply ..
my question is why America didnt trial her for terrorism .. why only attack on interrogator ?
I am not discussing her trial or defense for which she was finally convicted ..

Best thing to do is to read transcript of the trial. She decided to testify in her defense despite being told not to by her defense team. She was a horrible witness made it very easy to convict her.
