A day before Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addresses a rally in Bhopal, Congress Party general secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday alleged that 10,000 burqas were purchased here to feign the support of the Muslim minority towards the opposition party at the rally.


“In the entire country, it is being built up that the Bharatiya Janata Party has the support of the Muslim minority. …Now, as proof, I have with me a bill which shows that 10,000 burqas have been bought from Indore. The same number of topis could not be found here, but were ordered from Lucknow. I will put that bill before you, as well,” Singh said.


Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will speak at the Karyakarta Mahakumbh in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on September 25 as part of his party’s election campaign in the lead-up to the 2014 general elections.


On Sunday, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh, once again, hit out at Modi, and said the facts that he presented at speech to the Indian Diaspora in America indicated that it was 'feku' at his best.
Digvijay Singh said on the microblogging site, Twitter:

Praising the six-year tenure of NDA under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and party's veteran leader LK Advani, Modi had earlier said, "Under Vajpayee government it looked like that the 21st century would be the century of India. But with his departure, the downfall started.
He said that the growth rate was 8.4% but it came down to 4.8% during the UPA's rule. "However, once Vajpayee's tenure as PM came to an end, we regressed and are moving backwards," he said, while addressing the Indian Diaspora through a live video conference.

Muslims in India are matured. Modi has got a bad past of not being able to contain rights; but muslims in his state are somewhat happy with his administration,development policy and pro industrial outlook. Gujrati muslims are the richest muslims province in south asia.
His incorruptible image scares congress party.

Problems of India are not communal. The problems facing every Indian is same. If Modi can win confidence of muslims, he has upper hand in election!!

what do you mean by mature, why Hindus are not mature who keep killing Muslims, why you have those anti Muslims groups who miss no opportunity to kill Muslims, and you go and call Muslims mature, maturity in your eyes means what, I see it as an excuse used by Hindus to further oppress Muslims and not checking those violent Hindu groups, even you Baba's talk about Hindus to terrorism and he proudly says that if Hindus started terrorism than there will be hell to pay, what a farce these Baba's are trying to further their agenda by brainwashing people to start killing Muslims, and than to top they call Pakistan, Na-Pakistan, shameful behavior.

I am not a believer of tit for tat philosophy. Modi is indeed responsible for lack of action to safeguard muslim areas. But he is an abled administrator, business friendly and open leader. Congress party are scared of him :) With the same logic: co ngress party killed 2000 sikhs in 1984. So they are worse than modi.

I don't believe those Hindu's were killed by Muslim's I mean why would a minority attack the majority knowing fully of the consequences so it makes no sense. Sikh's are not the issue neither did Congress support their killings. Modi was responsible for letting people die if not out rightly supporting the attacks according to many sources. There is always some sort of religious tension in some part of Bharat. The coming elections will be a great test for the secularism you claim to uphold especially if Modi wins.
