People of Pakistan needs to understand that it's joint responsibility..

Leadership matters & currently there is absolute lack of leadership to fight this virus in Pakistan.

For one, PM Imran Khan is still clueless though I must admit his Health Advisor Dr. Zafar Mirza has finally started talking some sense.

Yesterday, Dr. Mirza admitted that there are around 10,000 corona infections in Pakistan. Multiply that to 3 if you have a mere idea of how bureaucratic and govt statistics are assessed. Plus, get some insight how fast COVID19 multiplies.

In the end, it all depends upon the number of ICU beds, ventilators and well trained doctors and nurses for ICUs and some kind of medical specialists.

This is a battle between the disease and doctors. Until now the world has failed in this - even those countries with best of the health facilities have been short and are forced for rationing healthcare.

Pakistan is at the bottom of health-infrastructure resulting from lack of funding from decades. It is not that you would buy masks, ppe, testing and ventilators in hurry but trained nurses and doctors are acutely needed when it comes to saving lives of the critical patients. Unfortunately, our health staff is not trained up for that task simply because we have a small number of ICU beds. Unfortunately our ICUs are already full to capacity to take care of already admitted patients.

SORRY to buzz your idiot horse but we are no Italy, Spain, UK or USA

We have no money to buy ventilators

We dnt have solid reputation in the world to leverage buying of ventilators when the whole Fkin world is bidding for every piece of ventilator. You are chasing a ventilator for which seller has Trump, Boris, Merkel and Muhammad Bin Salman on hold line while Putin is threatening the seller for purchase using his trademark KGB style.

Our only option: Total and Enforced Lock Down of each and every constituency. And, this would have happened some one month ago

Dnt believe me ???? wait two more week

Whatever you say.......

My point was --
At the end of this epidemic the people who will suffer is 1% or 3% or 3.5% (,whichever would be the is the final numbers) of the infected. They will reach to a critical stage -among them are the elderly and those already suffering from 3-4 diseases; The rest will recover - mostly without any treatment.
So the final statistics are the vital statistics. There lies win-lose or a success.
All the rest is a transitory phase..

For saving critical patients mere equipment is NOT sufficient - proper facilities at bed and especially doctors and nurses are required. (for example there is many kinds of ventilation requiring trained nurses to carryout) We lack needed manpower to deal with the critically ill. In Pakistan the estimates of people losing life due to lack of safe-saving facilities runs in lakhs. Whatever we have is already occupied with the existing but promising patients. Doctors cater to patient when they see a chance of success - and hospitals and doctors are not to prefer covid-19 patients over their regular patients (for whom they understand how to save their lives). That's the bottleneck. faced by not just us but all around the world - However in the west and asian countries the nurses and staff are well trained for diverse purposes. - that's only because they have many ICUs.
Anything unclear in this passage!!

Now you may return to you usual commentary and political bickering and lockdown.
Perhaps needed precautions are (or aren't) already on the ground or will come about later.
However it is more than certain - without any doubt - that lock down is a political point for you. That's pure politics without even a shred of humanity or perception of sympathy - keep doing so it no problem. at all - we have always axpected such behavior from some wise souls. Unfortunately I'm least interested in your political unethical games.

For government it is NOT just a political point but a cost-benefit issue as well.
Ok I'm listening and listening and listening........
