Bibi there are a couple of problems here:

1. No one has the right to malign institutions, only way to go around this is to provide solid evidences. Even in case of individuals you can't play freedom of speech card, the potential for causing damage is too great. There is a reason why you hear so many conspiracy theories in alternative media (social) but rarely find such trash on mainstream media. Problem here is that Mainstream media is acting like social media. Anchors think they have the right to malign anyone, how many anchors have discussed cases of Malik Riaz in detail which are fundamental in the sense that MR claims courts are blackmailing him due to the same cases. With about a hundred cases against him how many complainants were called on line in any of the TV programs? Even if one agrees that freedom of speech means MR has the right to malign anyone (which is not the case) even then anchors have to represent both sides fairly, they should have called the victims of Bahria Town.

2. Planted interview here means that Anchors are asking questions which have already been decided with Malik Riaz, then prey tell how it becomes fair representation of facts? I have no qualms if an anchor announces that Malik Riaz has been given a free reign and he is presenting only his side of story but on the program you don't hear any such announcements. Why pose impartiality in such cases?

3. Courts all over the world don't allow media trials when the cases are actually being heard in the court (They allow fair representation in the court premises only, not on the streets). A fair media trial will mean that judges will be seated along with Malik Riaz giving explanations and justifications for their rulings. There is also an other consideration that court rulings are also public record and if you so desire you can get the complete rulings from court premises.

4. The last line in your post is very interesting, Anchors become kings when they plant interviews and then become a tool of false propaganda thus turning public opinion in their desired direction. Mehr Bukhari has exactly done the same thing, she played on public emotions by posing as an impartial journalist while playing a script all the time.

5. I think you get your kicks from things like that! (bigsmile)

آپ اپنے دل سے پوچھ کر گواہی دیں کہ کیا یہ سب کچھ "پہلی" مرتبہ ہوا ہے؟
کیا اس سے پہلے ہم کئی بار نہیں دیکھ چکے کہ کیسز ہزار عدالت میں موجود ہوں، مگر طلعت ہو یا حامد میر یا انصار عباسی یا شاہد مسعود ۔۔۔۔ یہ سب میڈیا اینکرز اپنی مرضی کے بندے اپنے پروگراموں میں بلاتے رہے اور عدالت میں موجود کیسز پر کھل کر تبصرے کرتے رہے اور یہ چیز "پلانٹڈ" سے چار پانچ فیصد سے زیادہ فرق نہیں رکھتی۔

اس سے قبل مگر اعلی عدلیہ کو میڈیا کی یہ باتیں "سازشیں" لگی اور نہ ہی خلافِ قانون نظر آئیں اور نہ ہی میڈیا پر کوئی اعتراض کیا گیا بلکہ یہی اعلی عدلیہ آزاد میڈیا کے ڈونگرے بجا رہی تھی۔

Agree, Mujhe aik baat samajh nahi aati ke is qaum ne pata nahi kyun CJ ko aik Hazrat Umer Farooq bana rakha hey, jab ke iski karkardgi sabke saamne hey. Aik maloon qadyani jab Ilzaam lagata hey to uske liye Judicial comission banaya jata hey or uske Pakistan aane se inkar par commission ko London bheja jata hey, or jab apne bete ki baat aai to ball government ke court me daal ki or maze ki baat us government ke court me jisko khud corrupt or incompetent kehte hein, jab CJ ne suo moto lya to sab is forum par talyaan baja rahe the or usko hazrat umer se tasbih de rahje the, aaj un sab se aik sawal ke kya agar hazrat umer hote to wo is tarah ye maloom hone e bawajood ke ye government kuch nahi karegi mamla government ke haath me de dete??????? It is so much evident that people went under Media Trials, while their cases were heart in the courts. But never ever Chief Justice said a single word against this crime of Media at that time. But when it came to his own son, and where he himself is becoming a culprit, then suddenly he takes notice one one request of Mr. Registrar (and that too without any First Hand knowledge of the facts and without giving any chance to Mehr Bukhari to clear her position).

baat sari simple si hey magar hum log usko complicated bana dete hein, IS CJ NE APNI KURSI KI KHATIR 1999 SE 2007 TAK AS A PCO JUDGE KAAM KYA, musharraf ke har kaam ko legality ka certificate dya phir jab khud ki kursi par lat pari to ye aadmi marde-mujahid ban gaya apni nokri bachane ke liye, azaad adlia ka topi drama shuru kardya, aap aik baat bataein ke pichle 3 saaloon me kitne district,civil or high court ke judges ke khilaf corruption ke case aage lae gae hein????????? ya hum maante hein ke lower courts me corruption nahi????? agar hey to usko kon khatam karega????????

waisay maira aik sawal hai.. kia sab kuch courts nay karna hai? aj Malik Riaz bhi TV par aa kar kehta hai k CJ nay pehlay kyoon nahi suo motu action lia.. kia CJ ka kaam yea hai k wo subah uthay akhbar parhay phir suo motu action lay.. phir case ki hearing karay, sari parties ki baat sunay, unsay galiyan aur ganday isharay daikhay.. aur phir raat ko jo faisla karay us par critic sunay dosari party ki taraf say phir us party ko bulaye tu wo inkaar kar day.. aur phir har kisi ko razi karta phiray..

aur hum baith kar pop-corns khatay hoay yea sara kuch tv par daikhain. Right.? kia as a society hamaray upar koi kaam nahi? kia as an institution hamaray paas koi kaam nahi.. Malik riaz k paas saboot thay black mailing k tu wo kyoon nahi jata courts mai.. kia unkay paas lawyers ki kami hai k paisay ki kami hai? agar fauj k khilaaf baat hoti hai media par tu fauj kyoon nahi courts mai jati .. kia unkay paas resources ki kami hai? agar kisi k paas saboot hai corruption k tu wo kyoon nahi jatay courts.???

kia hamara aur aap ka kaam sirf bay tuki tanqeed karna hi reh gaya hai???
Courts kay khilaaf sazish hoti hai tu atleast courts khud action laiti hai... agar kisi bachay ko koi maar raha ho ga tu us bachay ki ami hi sab say pehlay usko bachanay ayain gi.. is liye courts nay apnay khilaaf sazish par foran action lia hai..

I hope we as a nation grow up and start seeing things more realistically and impartially.
