Election to larna hi nahi . kyoon ke u know ke election main kia hota hay ...

Lol PMLN is enjoying full government in Punjab, if all fake votes belonged to PMLQ then it would have more seats than PPP and PMLN combined. As for election boycott, if Nawaz Sharif had been a man of his word and not backed out of his decision to boycott, there would not have been such fake elections and we would not have to bear this NRO government. Only thanks to PMLN's full support PPP came into government and is still limping on PMLN's crutches. 2002 elections were different, everyone supported Musharraf and the judiciary and parliament legitimized his Marshall Law. But in 2007 the Judiciary gave ruling that Musharraf's emergency is null and void, still they were thrown out and house arrested. Even Musharraf admitted that his actions were extra-constitutional and PMLN stamped fake NRO elections of 2008 as legitimate by participating in them.
Everyone can see the results of 2008 elections, the country is facing the worst times because of PMLN's U-turn. The so-called principle politics of Nawaz Sharif is exposed after this, he backed out of a principle stand and left the judiciary's side for lust of power and on foreign dictation.

Instead of admitting that your leader backed out of his word you started defending him saying its all 'politics'. Next you bombarded Imran Khan for things already explained 100 times. I think its clear who is blindfolded and cant see reality. Nawaz Sharif backed out of a principle stand for lust of power, this is not politics for people, this is power politics. If Imran Khan wanted to do this kind of stupid politics he did not have to go against Musharraf even after 2002, he could accept his offer and become Prime Minister. He could be a part of Musharraf's government, but he did not. He took on the role of opposition till 2007 and then resigned from Parliament when it was clear that it was a rubber stamp parliament. He didnt make an electoral alliance with anyone, he made an alliance for democracy against Musharraf same as the alliance against 1996 dictatorial actions of Nawaz Sharif. But again Nawaz Sharif proved he is an agent of status-quo and left APDM on foreign dictation. If Imran Khan wanted to do power politics he could also leave APDM and make an alliance with Nawaz Sharif, but he didnt and stood on principles.
Imran Khan didnt dictate anything on Nawaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif decided himself that he will boycott elections, not once but 3 times. So whats the difference between Zardari and Nawaz Sharif now? Zardari said its not Quran or Hadith, its a political statement and Nawaz Sharif did the same.
As for the case against Altaf Hussain, the case is ongoing and requires Scotland Yard to visit Pakistan for evidence, once there is a credible government in Pakistan the case will move forward. Only Imran Khan had the courage to go to London and file a case against Altaf, i dont see PMLN taking any legal action against MQM.

So in the end Imran Khan has been a man of his word, he did what he said. On the other hand Nawaz Sharif lied continuously about his deal with Musharraf, and backed out of his word to boycott elections. I will support a truthful person, not a liar who gives 'political' statements.

Some excellent points raised there.

It seems like Imran Khan is more popular in overseas community than people actually living in Pakistan. Imran is a one man show and If there are election today, there is no way he will come into power. If he takes 10% of the vote, that will be a big achievement. Most people on this forum are overseas pakistani and mostly younger generation, thats why you see overwhelming support.

I dont think he can win majority but in next elections if he wins say fifty national assembly seats it would be good enough.Once he get's into the system he will be able to prove his capabilities.The political system in Pakistan is rotten to the core and 2/3 political parties dominate it.These parties have enormous financial resources which is a prerequisite for sucess in that system.Yes he is more popular amongst overseas Pakistanis but his sterling performance in Peshawar jalsa is an indication of his future .
