Other than Imran Khan all of them have ruled Pakistan, and we have the result now. Everyone in this list, by one way or the other has the backing of Pak army and USA. Imran Khan can be a good leader, but he is too HONEST for this job. IK is just like CJ Iftikhar Chourdry, who thought he can bring rule of law in Pakistan but he failed because he is fighiting a mafia backed by USA and army.

CJ Iftihar is also corrupt CJ of Pakistan. He has not clear references against him as yet.

Good to see there are 3 votes for Zardari. The poll says "Which One leader do you think can best handle the problems Pakistan facing?". And people voted for Zardari. So what has been Zardari doing for 2.5 years now?

A successful leader must have some political acumen and capability. Imran Khan is a great person- honest, credible, confident, brave and full of political will. But unfortunately his political acumen is very low. He is politically "immature".
Lets examine our current options. Shiekh Rasheed is a person with superb political acumen. Shahbaz Sharif is a person with a good political and government experience. Marvi Memon is a modern and well-connected young politician. Sherry Rehman is a kind of politician with political experience and will for serving people of Pakistan. And Imran Khan is a credible, honest person, capable of becoming a leader. How about making a National Govt. composed of all these people, who can fill in for deficiencies of each other, yet provide us with a good, experienced, strong and stable government.

am simply copying the comments of mohammed rahman :)

Oversees Pakistanis are also Pakistanis and they have a broader picture of what is happening in Pakistan simply because they have more access to international community. They also know about quality of leaders, again simply because they have seen real leaders in the countries they are living and they feel desperately that some similarly true leader should lead Pakistan also.I came to USA some three months back and I know Imran Khan is popular in Pakistan also but mostly among the educated people who don't vote based upon personal likings but on the basis of what is good for the country.I'm not saying that Imran Khan is perfect leader but he is much than the other leaders in Pakistan.Everybody is watching what the famous leadership of Pakistan is doing and what is the result. So shouldn't the people of Pakistan vote for someone who seems to be better than the current leadership.Thin over it!

so i voted him and that is what all i can do? Imran is the choice for almost all but the duty does not end there. He is only the choice of those who end up reading this blog in english have access to net and time to sit and read and vote , so what about the other 99 percent.
It is a duty if we have any love for the country and the desire to do some thing for it to educate the voters (your sweeper has the the same one vote as yours) and show them with statistics, videos and conversation where to use their vote.

I was a supporter of Nawaz but I am sort of disappointed by his policies. The Country is in dire straits and we need surgical operation to get it rid of all those ailments which afflicts Pakistan..We really donot have the luxury of more time to do all what is required. It's a do or die situation. Why not give this man a chance??Whatever he says makes lot of sense. What other options do we have ??
