LAHORE – The Defence police arrested 12 persons along with the brother-in-law of PML-N’s central leader Ahsan Iqbal in a raid on a dance party in DHA’s GG Block.
Imran, the brother-in-law of Ahsan Iqbal and several others present at the function have been booked under charges of interfering in official police work and boozing.
As per sources, the Defence police received complaints that a drink and dance party was underway in GG Block of DHA at House 681, on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
When Sub-Inspector Safdar raided the said location, its owner, Imran introduced himself as brother-in-law of central PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal and Secretary to the Chief Minister Punjab.
In the meanwhile, another man came out of the house, who claimed to be the son of a higher judicial figure and sent the policeman packing after threatening him with suspension and disciplinary action.
After some time, the police got yet another call complaining about noise from the merry-making at the same house. The same Sub-Inspector raided the residence, along with other policemen, and arrested Imran along with 12 others.
After the incident, some powerful persons exerting pressure on the police secured the release of the arrested persons.
Consequently, Imran was released on bail from the duty Magistrate on Sunday, despite it being a weekly holiday.

its third or more such incident where sons of sacred cows of pakistan have been caught boozing and partying with women....in one such incidence last month in defense area of karachi the grandson of aanjahaani akbar bugti also became "aanjahaani"(dead) after he exchanged fires with a doctor in party after fight over some women or booze perhaps.

(sorry for using aanjahaani word for bugti,but akbar bugti throughout his oife never showed any signs of being a muslim,and so are his children ,so for nonmulims words aanjahaani is used when they die).



anyway ahsan iqbal is so called very "pious" and "strong character leader" of nawaz league,as portrayed by our sold out media.,,see how even such people become corrupt in dirty politics,also some people from his native narowal have complained about his ghunda gardi...by the way ahsan iqbal is one of the punj pyaras of shrif brothers.very loyal to them like a pet.and in exchange for this loyalty sharif brothers have awarded a lot of important positions to ahsan iqbals family,even ahsan iqbals brother till recently was working as chairman of parks and horticulture lahore and getting lakhs of rs in pay...he is young and inexperienced.
these are "fringe benefits of being in politics ,while poor pakistan people are dying of hunger.

and as usual the culprit was freed even on weekly holiday....because justice is dead in pakistan ,and according to a hadeeth such nations are destroyed by allah where justice is only for the poor people,

I would like to clarify that Mr. Ahsan Iqbal has no brother in law by this name neither is this man remotely related to him. His 2 brother in laws are currently outside Pakistan - one is a private sector professional in Middle East and other is a Civil Servant on duty in WTO mission.

The news reporter did not bother verifying facts and published the story to grab attention - clearly the drunk person named Imran was impersonating to get away first by using Mr. Ahsan Iqbal's name and later when police found out that its not true he tried to portray himself as a secretary to the CM. The person was arrested regardless and Nawa-i-waqt also issued a clarification in this regard.

Furthermore, it has been learnt that the party broken by police also had several US citizens who were let free - but The Nation/Nawa-i-waqt conveniently censored that part of the news and published a story without even verifying the facts of the case!

Mr. Mustafa Kamal (brother of Mr. Ahsan Iqbal) was working for PHA on pro-bono basis and resigned after a few months back in 2009. As far as his experience is concerned he is the only established (and the first) horticulture professional in Pakistan. He started his horticulture company in late 1980s in Lahore.

Re you comment on Narowal; you may dislike PML-N or Nawaz Sharif but that doesn't entitle you to slander without proof. He is a middle class educated politician who wins from a predominantly rural constituency (where his own caste is in minority) and general reputation is that he has never targeted anyone in Narowal with fake cases/victimization! Narowal is among the most literate rural populations of Pakistan with small land holdings; people are empowered unlike typical rural settings in Pakistan and ghunda gardi etc does not work there.
