Mohtaram Janab Dr Israr Saab,
I have been watching your many lectures and certainly you enlighten many Muslims and none Muslims around the world.
You are well places amongst the great scholars of the modern times. I am a deprived person from the true light of Islam, have certainly benefited from your valuable education.
May Allah bless you for your services SIR?
Just listened to your speech on Swat as well.
May I dare ask some questions so I can have bit better understanding?
1: I am one hundred per cent for Islam and its system providing it is fully implemented with its dynamics and not the stagnation which is preached & practiced by the so called Taliban philosophy.
I do know you are very forward looking scholar and have very keen eyes on western world which is technically and scientifically so much advanced but yet it is spiritually very much empty as it was envisaged by Alama Iqbal during his studies in Europe in thirties. Of course it has decayed much more then those times of Iqbal but western world despite all the ills of the societies, should we not come to this harsh realities that they are still powerful and posses great deal of know how then any of the Islamic countries?
Their economies may well be delicate and many times precarious market base but yet are more resourceful then Islamic countries? How did this happen? Has this occurred overnight?
How we can fulfil this huge gulf?
Obviously through massive investment in education of modern sciences by carrying the pearl of Islamic faith in our hearts and mind then we may in distant future become a formidable force in order to bring true glory and reflection of our faith?
Please forgive me for expressing my options being a mere a drop in the vast sea comparing to you, Sir
2: would you agree with me that key to achieve the above goals are, to have educated women so they can lay the foundation of new generation? If yes then why these Talibans fail to understand this and bent on the path of destroying the education bases.
Knowing the religion and its history is one thing and digesting the inner soul of QURAN, which IQBAL strives for us to do?
No doubt this current system which is practiced in Pakistan or the other Muslim countries is not ideal or is true reflection of IQBALS Pakistan but do we have to demolish every thing we have build so far or is there another dimension to it in order to mould it, without bringing fear to the masses in the name of Islam.
You have yourself described in one of your lecture that terrorism is counter productive, it is just like poking a elephant with a needle. Then due respect all the scholars have left it rather too late in my view, to challenge these elements to grow in a such force?
3: Is there any other way left for us now without plunging in to deeper difficulties? if yes then why not all wise scholars collectively come forward and help the people of Pakistan ?
if our government is not doing the right then advise and guide them to correct path? Or have we really crossed the Rubicon?
From, with a weeping eyes and a very sad heart.
